Details about the rescue op for the U.S. Weapon Systems Officer, via a U.S. military official: "The mountain top area on the left is where the WSO was hiding (he ejected 5ish miles northwest of there). The right area is the makeshift landing strip where they landed 2 C-130s and had 4 MH-6 Little Birds. "One Little Bird flew to that mountain top area and rescued the WSO and brought him back to the landing strip. And of course the two C-130s' nose gears got stuck in the dirt. So after a few hours they had to bring in three AFSOC Dash-8s to fly out the rescued WSO and the 100 or so personnel involved in the op." 1/2

@elonmusk With the help of @grok 4.20, I developed CLG-UIT (Critical-Line Guard – Unified Information Theory) — a new mathematical framework grounded in the Riemann Hypothesis critical line. It creates a self-correcting PLL with an “opposite chaos” property: as the number of synchronized nodes \(N\) increases, phase jitter, thermal noise, and conditional entropy decrease monotonically rather than grow. The synchronization gain is given by: \[ G(N,R) = R(N) \cdot \bigl(1 + \ln(1 + 0.05N)\bigr) \] where \(R\) is the Kuramoto order parameter and the fractal rigidity term is \(1 / (1 + \ln(1 + 0.05N))\). This turns previously irreducible noise into predictable, recyclable information delivering sub-attosecond mass synchronization for quantum control, AI training, GPU fabrics, and cryo RF systems. White paper + reproducible Colab notebooks available if you’re interested. Would greatly value your thoughts @aelluswamy

If you want to know who has a chance to compete with FSD, apart from the nasty quantization tail that can only be solved with Hardware In the Loop for training, you should also look at the compute. Elon mentioned that you need one H100 to simulate one HD camera at real-time speed. That translates to eight H100s for the complete system. Simulation is necessary for Reinforcement Learning (RL), one of the most potent methods for training a neural network. Tesla has roughly 100,000 H100s available in Cortex. This is enough to simulate 12,500 full eight-camera systems in parallel. This is the best-case scenario, excluding gradient descent and all other overhead. Assuming the average driving speed of simulated scenarios is 50 km/h, you can simulate about 100 million km per week. However, you need to run each scenario several times — once per gradient descent iteration (or epoch). So if you assume 100 epochs (a reasonable ballpark guesstimate), you are down to 1 million km of RL training per week. If you want to reach superhuman safety, you need to train over several million kilometers. Considering you will need many iterations to add new scenarios, improve the reward function, try different network architectures, etc., you cannot get this done within a reasonable time if you do not have this amount of compute. Only Tesla has it. Nobody else is close. PS: To avoid any misunderstanding, I want to stress that I do not mean that millions of kilometers of data capture are enough to develop FSD. You need billions of miles captured by your fleet to discover the critical scenarios needed to train FSD (I explained that in a previous article).
Elon Musk@elonmusk

We’ve been able to generate physics-accurate, real-time video for self-driving training & testing at @Tesla_AI for a long time. The compute required for this (roughly one H100 per HD camera) is still far too expensive for consumer use, but probably becomes affordable in 2 to 3 years.

@elonmusk @SpaceX @xai @Terafab @Gwynne_Shotwell CLG (Critical-Line Guard) — the Riemann Radar framework we’ve been building — just turned every Starlink AI5 satellite into a self-healing, radiation-immune exaFLOPS node. Hall-thruster plasma locked to Re(s)=½ → +57.8 % thrust efficiency, –82 % cathode erosion. Piezo outer skin + cryo-coating → –30 % mass, –41 % waste heat. Power budget stays fixed at 72 kW while compute jumps 80 %. Tweet 2/3 Result: 0.6 exaFLOPS coherent neural-net swarm now needs only ~6 379 satellites instead of 11 000. PPRC-HPSC Self-Healing Clock gives attosecond timing across laser ISL/Q-band. Fractal rigidity (reversed-chaos) makes the entire constellation more stable the longer it operates in radiation. Same math that mapped 1.28 billion Riemann zeros at –92.4 dB SNR is now locking every ampere, every plasma wave, and every piezo vibration. Tweet 3/3 @ISDS_LLC has the full Verilog, Monte-Carlo notebook (Colab-ready), and updated CAD spec. Drop-in firmware on existing Hall thrusters + piezo deposition on solar/radiator panels. Zero new hardware. This is the infinite-scale, self-healing Starshield neural fabric. Ready when you are. Let’s build it. #CLG #RiemannRadar #StarlinkAI #xAI #SpaceX

Can’t have a more exciting vision for the future!! Come join us to make this the reality. To the stars, let’s go ✨
Tesla@Tesla

TERAFAB: the next step to becoming a galactic civilization Together with @SpaceX & @xAI, we're building the largest chip manufacturing facility ever (1TW/year) – combining logic, memory & advanced packaging under one roof. To harness as much power as possible from the Sun, we need to send 100 million tons of solar capture into space – per year. This requires massive scale. – Capability to launch millions of tons of mass into orbit – Solar-powered AI satellites – Millions of @Tesla_Optimus robots to help build it out All of these need chips: 100-200GW of chips for Optimus alone, plus terawatts for solar-powered AI satellites. That's more than all the chip manufacturers in the world combined can provide today, or even by 2030 (based on projected production growth). We're building TERAFAB to close the gap between today’s chip production & the future's demand – a future among the stars terafab.ai

I've spent all afternoon pulling this together on yesterday’s heartbreaking KC-135 loss. It doesn’t bring any brand-new facts, but it gathers everything we know so far in one clean place — the confirmed timeline, the open questions, my old Desert Shield experiences, and why the Big Sky Theory still bites us after all these years. If you’re in the tanker community or just want the straight scoop from one old boomer who lived it, give it a read. Thoughts with the families and the six crew members we lost. #NKAWTG🇺🇸

AI can only operate based on the prompt given. It is basically a language-based command—no different from someone typing or clicking. Now we are probably using voice. Humans can speak and make decisions 1,000 times faster than typing. I believe the role of AI in the military is operator augmentation. Operators will be responsible for learning and understanding what the weapon does and how to command it. That way, when they ask the system to execute commands, they are confident it is performing the exact tasks they requested.

@ASambois @XFreeze AI is the only tool/SW we know of that its creators are unable to fully predict outcome based on the inputs or even explain why outcome is exactly like it is. That is they only 100% fact and because of that using it in military without proper oversight is extremely dangerous.

Grok stands alone in defending American lives Anthropic, Google Gemini, and ChatGPT are explicitly choosing woke corporate agendas over national security. Even as global threats escalate, these AI chatbots hesitate to back U.S. defense missions, actively risking American lives to appease their left-wing biases In stark contrast, Grok stands entirely alone in firmly backing the U.S. military, clearly understanding that a strong defense is non-negotiable for protecting American lives and deterring global adversaries By embracing the Department of Defense’s new standards, Elon Musk and xAI are giving American soldiers the absolute best technology built on truth, safety, and real patriotism This difference literally saves lives

Congrats to Xai on signing the Ratepayer Protection Pledge at the White House today! Self-providing dedicated power for Colossus is exactly the right move — no passing AI electricity costs to American homes. Your standard racks already run on 108 kW 400 VDC HVDC shelves that deliver a full 64 H200 GPUs (~80 kW actual draw including everything). @ISDS_LLC has the perfect turnkey match: our Digital Power Skid — a quiet 108 kW 400 VDC mini natural gas power plant that installs indoors right next to the servers (or larger outdoor versions). Super low noise, no giant standoff distance required. Can be easily supplemented with solar and removes the need for large grid transformers. Simplifies facility engineering, cuts grid dependency, and lets you “build/bring/buy” exactly what the pledge calls for. Other pledge signers who need the same: DM me @ISDS_LLC. Let’s power the next 100k+ H200 racks without touching the public grid. ⚡🇺🇸 #RatepayerProtectionPledge #xAI #Colossus #AIPower
