Reasons why Agriculture is scam, overrated and bad for the state of TN. And why TN should never be priority 1 agri state and radical industry/ infra first state. Lets debunk the decade old myths propagated by kollywood university and samacheer kalvi svbhumans of TN. 1. TN is a small state and has perfect location for industrial. Not a lot of land. 2. Agriculture is the biggest destroyer of nature in the history of mankind. And in TN, "Sugarcane" is 2nd after rice, which is just commercial, water intensive and less essential. 3. A agri first state should be ready to accept the fact it is going to send migrants to other states for jobs, business,etc. 4. There are multiple large states in India which are pro agri, and send their Hindi crowd to settle in MH NCR GJ KA where they assimilate. Hindi states and 3 lang states r just administrative zones for their ppl. For TN ppl, TN is Tamil kingdom. 5. Also tamils are the least assimilating and most hated migrants of India, be it other states or countries. Especially the lower castes, for their skin colour, alien language and their slum behavior.. They end up getting abused and attacked. Only radical capitalism and industrialisation in TN can stop outward migration. 6. The large agri states which are not industrially gifted are always going to cultivate food for India. It's free flow economics. TN doesn't need to bear the brunt. 7. Even if TN wants to have significant agri for itself, it needs one or two super vertical urban powerhouses and leave the other districts for nature or agri. Not horizontal sprawl with tiny 2 floor buildings. Infra projects and tall buildings in Chennai and maybe is totally non negotiable.

High time we revise the FSI for chennai and tier 2 cities in TN immediately. The land prices have shot up , High urbanisation has happened , increasing FSI is the only way forward at least across the main roads

We've progressed in certain areas and lag behind in others. Only in the last few years have high rise buildings started coming up in Chennai in significant numbers. Previously, state government approval was required for high rise projects. Given the multiple layers of approvals, the entire process often took around 6 to 7 months. The new aim is to speed up the approval process to within a few weeks (instead of the earlier 6 to 7 months). The Tamil Nadu government has now empowered the CMDA to take this decision directly, with adequate guidelines and safeguards in place. Developers can now get quicker clearances, reducing holding costs and enabling faster construction starts. This should boost the real estate and construction sector in Chennai. The move is expected to attract more investment, create jobs, and support vertical growth in a land scarce city without altering density norms (FSI) immediately. This is an excellent procedural reform. We look forward to a further increase in FSI in the future.

Reviving the STRR alignment between Anekal and Hosakote could significantly improve connectivity for the rapidly growing Sarjapura–Hosakote corridor, reduce congestion on existing roads, and support future industrial and residential development. Hope the feasibility study leads to swift implementation.

You construct big airport but if you ask those passengers to travel via Current SP Kovil-Padalam-Madurantakam-Villupuram, they will not reach faster sir

We need to understand that if Parandur does not happen, investments will not be going to Coimbatore, Trichy, Madurai, Coimbatore or any other Tier-2 city. They will be redirected to Bengaluru and Hyderabad which have better airports. They have already pushed Chennai back!!

What is the issue with Chennai Airport? Is the new airport for the people or just for corporates? You don’t even talk about farming, and farming is not overhyped. If we stop cultivation, will we end up importing food from other countries? Farming is the future, and food security matters more than corporate interests.

Our formers are literally 🍇ing the land in some parts of the country because of subsidies. (Case study in the comment) Farming sector literally wastes precious water and other resources in exponential terms and still produces expensive food when adjusted to purchasing power parity. Most of the Indian households spend half of their income on food supplies. Food as a Share of Household Spending: India: roughly 25–40% of household spending goes to food. Netherlands: roughly 10–15% goes to food. This suggests that, despite lower nominal prices, food is less affordable for many Indians. We need corporate farming to maximize efficiency. Fuck the current farming sector.

Finally! The #ThanjavurAirport will soon become a reality! 🚀 AAI has cleared the terminal design for the new passenger terminal, link taxiway, and aircraft parking bays at Thanjavur Airport. The project will be developed on the 55 acres handed over by Thalaivar then CM Thiru @MKStalin’s #DravidiansModel Govt to the Union govt, about 2 years ago. The project picked up serious pace after we met with the Defence Secretary and Secretary of Civil Aviation in Nov 2023. The same month I also visited the proposed airport site along with TIDCO officials and district administration and also facilitated AAI’s request for a four-lane approach road. Following this we also held meetings with the Civil Aviation Minister and his team in 2024 and 2025. If Parandur is dropped, i would recommend reclaiming the sea near Bessie and building a new international airport like Changi if cyclones can be tolerated. The existing Airport can be privatised, handed over to Gmr or Adani and converted into a top notch domestic and cargo Airport!
