I had to remember I was a grown-up when The Deputy Comissioner left her hat & Metvest next to me during the Coronation Policing Operation!
She was the right person at the right time for the Met.

Our Deputy Commissioner, Dame Lynne Owens, has announced her retirement after a distinguished 35-year career. Dame Lynne, who will retire in May, said: "It has been an honour and privilege to return to the Met to support Sir Mark in making the changes that were needed, and which crucially were wanted by our officers and staff."

New Year’s Day 23 I was waiting for a skippers posting. Wanted to be operational, needed to lose weight. I committed, got operational, relapsed again but stuck with the diet and exercise and this is my weight exactly 2 years later.

@history99917180 I did exactly the same with my niece. Got told off by SiL. Apparently I have ‘nothing to worry about because he’s 9’. I’ll be the judge of that! Wrappers back in the tin is a psychopath move though.

Niece popped in with her new boyfriend. Seems a nice lad, I asked a few direct questions to check his suitability. You know, age, job, car etc.
Sam told me off.
One problem, he puts his wrappers back in the Quality Street tin!
