guys genuine question but what do you do at your job when you have nothing to do. like i’ve never had to do this before. I hate being taskless, time just won’t pass and I can’t just be on my phone all day 😭

Technically, it should be "Doctors Who" as "Who" is a postpositive adjective for the multiple Doctors.

@pipmadeley Clever! Now I'm wondering how the Doctor would've reacted to Avon... Of course the Doctor made some sort of clever escape as revealed in the next episode... Probably to give Avon his comeuppance...

@grassplaysgames @hankgreen Same. My father's bone marrow transplant is ultimately what killed him (graft vs. host disease), but the AML would've killed him without the bone marrow transplant, so...

@hankgreen Cancer treatment is a weird paradox. My mom died because of her treatment rather than her cancer in the end, but she felt she had to fight as hard as she could

Weird cancer thing is that the goal is almost never to maximize the chance of remission or cure because doing that usually pushes the chances of dying or being disabled by treatment significantly higher than your chances of dying or being disabled by disease.

Help: we have good friends who had an infant daughter with cancer flown to Denver by order of a Billings surgeon (this is common when we have something too complex for our smaller hospital). The normal hospital flight crew was already being used elsewhere so their only option was a regional private company. They were told by the doc they needed to go for their daughter, so they went. Then, months later they learned their flight cost was a whopping $188K dollars. Insurance will only cover $27K of it since the traditional cost of the flight from the hospital is $25-35K. They had NO idea and had been given NO indication of the inflated price charged by this private company before they went on the doctors orders, and IMO it borders on the fraudulent. They're seeking legal help, but so far have made no headway. Thoughts? Advice? How is this possible? It's terrifying, frankly. Any insights into possible directions for them to be thinking for legal action would be really helpful, thank you. Also, I guess be aware of this if you're ever at a smaller hospital and are forced to be life-flighted somewhere 😳
