People mock the phrasing, but miss the meaning. Not everyone speaks like a theologian but that doesn’t make their faith any less sincere. In fact, it makes it more human. Trump isn’t pretending to be flawless or rehearsed he’s showing what millions of people feel: that faith is personal, simple, and sometimes expressed in ordinary words. And maybe that’s exactly why so many connect with him because he doesn’t try to sound perfect… he just sounds real.
