📈 Two cool things happened in the UAE this week. 1. Finalized a 2 GW (!) solar farm in Al Dhafra (4M+ panels) - one of the world’s largest. Project was jointly developed by Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, Abu Dhabi National Energy Company, EDF Renewables, & JinkoPower. 2. Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation granted the operating license for the 4th & final reactor at the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant, also located in the Al Dhafra region (near Abu Dhabi). W/ all 4 reactors online, the plant will feature 5.38 GW nameplate capacity, sufficient to provide ~25% of the UAE’s electricity needs. Alright solar peeps & nuke peeps, shake hands 🤝
