@VikkiGoodwinTX And it appears the teacher lobby money is flowing well in your direction. School choice helps low income students in low performing schools have a better future. It’s crazy how democrats fail to help those they claim they’re working for.

@RishiSunak Banks, unless they’re state-owned, aren’t basic services; they’re private businesses. Just because they closed his accounts doesn’t mean he couldn’t use another bank. That’s just a free market, man. Private business, yo.

@Rameus7 @GeorgeVance @bradswail Prop A is illegal as written. A city ordinance cannot supersede state law. I would think you’d know that being a lawyer and all. It could be backed by Gandhi and Mother Teresa and it wouldn’t make it more legal, either.

@bradswail⁩ Brad, saw these signs for the first time in the “mueller north” east-north central area. What are these new props? Thoughts? #austin texas

@LoewyLawFirm Because my tax money pays for the books. Parents can control the phones (or should). They can’t control the library.

It is truly bizarro world when Texas Rs are spending time trying ban books in schools when nearly every tween and teen have phones with INTERNET access that has stuff 10000000x worse than anything you can find in a book. #txlege

@RicardoLewisTV Because Austinites have repeatedly stated that they do not want a surveillance state. You can’t have your cake and eat it, too. It’s a horrible situation but even the traffic cams on public roads don’t record footage bc of privacy concerns.

@KirkPWatson The fact that you portray that this 4 year contract was “sprung” on Council is horribly disingenuous. Also, allowing voters to vote on an illegal prop (if passed) bef making a decision is kicking the can down the road. I thought having a prev mayor and state rep was a good thing

If you're going to defund and destroy a police department as their mayor then attend a highly respected officer's funeral, perhaps do not continue to disrespect that officer's family, friends, and other officers by falling asleep.

@propjoesays Just so everyone knows: carrying while committing a crime is still illegal. I don’t know the details of this specific incident but, if arrested for DWI while carrying a weapon, it’s also Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.

@littlefieldmark @ATXPOA @MayorAdler @ATXCouncil Oh, and btw, this Summer APD is short approx 235 officers. ~45 officers in just a couple of months. How’s that looking? It’s just normal attrition, right? Or the old cops are just being petty and leaving the job, right? Check again. Many of those recent vacancies are young ofcrs.

@ATXPOA @MayorAdler @ATXCouncil This is an important issue. I have questions. This Spring APD was short 190 officers or about 10.5% of the budgeted sworn officers. Nationally, police departments were short about 7% and 86% of all depts reported a shortage. Is the national shortage also council's fault?

@MelinnaTeatrina well, @SouthwestAir is a company and, as such, has the right to refuse service. Additionally, flying is not a right just like driving isn’t. And calling the cops didn’t endanger you. Come on. #woketropes

Taxpayers want to know: what's the total cost of this project, including the exorbitant purchase price, renovations, furnishings, utilities, staffing, etc.? Pro forma, please. Full transparency, please, for us taxpayers who are paying the bills. #ATXCouncil

I don't think it's sufficiently appreciated how twisted and surreal it is that the leading activists for censorship in the U.S. are journalists. Yes, they're more accurately described as "liberal employees of media corporations but, still, nobody is more devoted to this cause:
