@legophysicsguy Great work. Clearly presented and great for live lessons. So useful right now. Year 10 moving on to density next week. Videos already lined up to cast. 👍

This callow actor casually slagging off physics teachers on the BBC is shameful, embarrassing, and anti-educational. It serves none of the BBC’s values.

@EDR_man Yep. I quit NPQSLIT last term. Simply didn’t feel appropriate at this time. There are higher priorities IMO.

@MissB0107 Using a range of platforms to build up a picture of progress. Doddle, Educake, Teams quizzes(forms) and carousel learning. Educake working well with live lessons. (£800ish well spent if you’ve got the budget)

Assessment opportunities in remote learning - suggestions please! #edutwitter #remoteteaching We are being asked a dept to plan and embed assessment for remotely learned content. I'd like to compare some ideas that are relatively robust, and sustainable. Please share 🌟

@Strickomaster Surely there won’t be another U-turn? Anyone treading water until the end of Jan to see what topics to focus on?

Finally, my adaptation of @adamboxer1's popular Chemistry atomic structure slop booklet is now done. Thanks Adam. It will be helpful for providing direct instruction, guided practice and opportunities to check for understanding.

@amymayforrester @adamboxer1 Yep - Data grabs insist on teachers awarding an effort grade...why? Personal opinion is I measure output more than input. A lazy grade 9 or A* is still a top grade. Maybe the ‘effort’ went elsewhere?

I’m doing some thinking around “effort” - thinking about what we say to students about this, and what effort is. Twitter hive mind - what’s your thoughts on this? What is effort? How do we define it? What does it look like? How can we teach it explicitly as behaviour? 1/2
