THIS IS INSANE! My cousin called and told me he still has his Pokémon special Pikachu edition and Tommy Hilfiger Game Boy that my aunt bought him back in 1999. Met a Pokemon fan today, he didn’t have a super expensive folder. But it was a folder that was clearly assembled with love and nostalgia for the IP. We spent a good amount of time just going through the cards and admiring the art and storytelling. THIS is what truly powers the Pokemon IP, and the reason why I think true fans of the hobby will always stick around and enjoy the hobby in different and creative ways.
