Medical doctor working to investigate the potential benefits of hibernation in microgravity. Incredibly, no hibernating animal has ever been studied in space!!

Dear @Hertz, you’re messing up. I was renting two Tesla Model 3 vehicles at John Wayne airport in CA yesterday for 1+ months each and both cars didn’t have the mobile charging cables. The employee said only 1 out of 10 Teslas come with a charger cable because customers don’t return them. The employee refused to give me a charging cable claiming they have none. I value the convenience of charging in my rental house’s garage, so I ended up having to order 2 EV chargers on Amazon and Tesla adapters. I have no idea what to do with them after my rental ends because I’m traveling and don’t need them when I go back home. This is a simple fix. Include a Tesla mobile charging cable for every Tesla you rent out. When car is returned just make sure mobile charging cable is returned as well. If it isn’t, then charge the customer. Keep extra mobile charging cables on hand to make sure all cars have them. Lots of people might rent a Tesla and it’s their first experience with a Tesla. Including a mobile charging cable ensures people have the best possible experience with Tesla and Hertz.

@RepMTG Uhhh… not sure how you ended up in my feed, but may I point out that your graph does not include carbon dioxide, the main greenhouse gas of concern? Most air pollutants are a separate issue from climate change and have decreased over time. You are conflating different problems.

If you believe that today’s “climate change” is caused by too much carbon, you have been fooled. We live on a spinning planet that rotates around a much bigger sun along with other planets and heavenly bodies rotating around the sun that all create gravitational pull on one another while our galaxy rotates and travels through the universe. Considering all of that, yes our climate will change, and it’s totally normal! There is no amount of taxes or carbon reduction that will stop or tame weather events or climate change. But there are some very powerful people that are getting rich beyond their wildest dreams convincing many that carbon is the enemy and that if humans sacrifice enough energy producing things we can actually control the climate. Don’t fall for the scam, fossil fuels are natural and amazing. They produce an abundance of energy that we all need to survive along with more products than you can possibly imagine.

It's tradition! I wear my squirrel socks anytime I give a squirrel talk. Excited to present some @faunabio research at #expbio 2022. Talk today at 1:30 in 202A, then a poster on Monday at 10:15. I'll probably wear different socks on Monday...these are starting to get holes.

In 2012, a Facebook group of more than half a million urged NBC to invite Betty White to host SNL. "When I first heard about the campaign, I didn't know what Facebook was, and now that I do know what it is, I have to say it sounds like a huge waste of time." She won an Emmy.

I don't know if I keep getting lucky, or if the elusive green flash at sunset is simply not as rare as I've read... but saw another tonight over the Pacific!

My daughter Alita Emilia Genovese was born today at 11:55am. As a population geneticist, I could not help but map her genome (custom NIPT at 9 weeks gestation age). ;-) But let this be a reminder that this is just what she started with. What she will do with it will be up to her

@w00ki33 Wow... thanks for posting this. I was there about a week later to enjoy the impressive display, but I had not thought about the process of how it got into position. You had a great vantage point!
