@NikolovScience Pressure is caused by gravity. You’re saying that the emissive power of the surface is higher because of gravity. How many W/m^2 worth of gravity are you adding, and what made you think that gravity is a source of power? Static pressure doesn’t enhance temperature.

🚨The confusion about basic atmospheric thermodynamics among scientists runs deeper than most people can imagine. Here is a communication I recently had with Dr. Roy Spencer, a climate skeptic, that illustrates this fact vividly: tallbloke.wordpress.com/2026/05/23/dis… This widespread confusion appears to have resulted from an early education bias toward radiation and radiative transfer in describing climate processes that ignores fundamental pressure-temperature aspects of classical gas thermodynamics. As a consequence, the current climate theory lacks an understanding that planetary surface temperatures are determined by both diabatic and adiabatic processes working simultaneously. The absorption of solar energy by planets and the emission of long-wave radiation to Space are examples of diabatic processes, while the Atmospheric Thermal Effect (ATE) is due to an adiabatic process, which represents a pressure-induced enhancement of the absorbed solar energy.

Veritatem 2021: TRUTH IS NOT A POPULARITY CONTEST
There is overwhelming evidence in climate science research that modern warming is far from being unprecedented either in terms of speed of warming or amount of warming. I am staggered that you claim to be a meteorologist and you don't know this.
Northstar@NorthstarCharts

Yes, and do you suppose it's possible to release 2.5 trillion metric tons of CO2 artificially into the atmosphere without having a price to pay? It's not outright temperature rise that's our problem. It's the rate of change. Earth has been much warmer than now, but as I said the rate of change is the issue.

This is terrifying. How are we going to feed ourselves if agriculture collapses under this extreme climate change? At the moment Kent is losing its orchards to vineyards. We cannot live on wine alone.
Peter Dynes@PGDynes

Parts of Spain/Portugal will approach 40°C next week, and we are still only in MAY. This is not “just summer arriving early”. Europe is heating faster than almost any continent on Earth. European agriculture, ecosystems & infrastructure were not built for these extended extremes.

By rejecting vaccines, you put others in danger. You reject decades of immunology, epidemiology, clinical trials, and real-world evidence involving billions of doses. You promote the idea that every hospital, university, regulator, and doctor on Earth is part of one giant conspiracy — while viruses, measles, polio, and whooping cough quietly come back. Vaccines are not perfect. But pretending infectious diseases disappeared on their own is historically illiterate. Modern medicine dramatically increased human life expectancy. The real danger is turning public health into a conspiracy theory.

@kafeeromj Yeah, basic science. No experiments show that co2 can increase the temperature of a heat radiating body.

Climate denial isn’t just ignorance—it’s dangerous misinformation. From “it’s a hoax” to “it’s just the sun,” these claims collapse under basic science. The truth? Human activity is driving rapid change, and vulnerable communities are paying the price first. Listen to science. Act with urgency. The cost of denial is far greater than the cost of action.

@peakaustria So, you have a correlation, and you’re implying a causal thermodynamic relationship. Thermodynamics is scale independent and universal. Now you only need to do an experiment in a laboratory setting where co2 causes temperature increase in a heat radiating body. You won’t succeed.

A new diagram has been developed which helps explain the relationship between temperature and carbon dioxide levels. These have been in lockstep for the last 66 million years as CO₂ controls temperature. The contrast to the Anthropocene and a realistic future scenario for the next 75 years is startling. It shows the hinge point where the start of the Industrial Revolution tore the planet off this geologically stable path into new unexplored territory. A key insight is that although today’s temperatures have been experienced before, and today’s CO₂ levels have been present before, they have never occurred at the same time. The diagram is also a good way of explaining the need for net-zero, but more importantly the time to reach net-zero since its accumulated emissions that are important, not the date. drtomharris.substack.com/p/the-anthropo…

Today’s combination of CO₂ and temperature is unprecedented in 66 million years. That is the central finding of the diagram at the heart of this essay — and it is not a model result. It emerges from three completely independent climate records, each developed by different scientific communities using different methods to answer different questions, plotted together on a single set of axes. Three independent climate records — a deep-time Cenozoic reconstruction, an 800,000-year ice-core archive, and the modern instrumental record — converge on the same CO₂–temperature relationship and meet at a single point in 1850, the moment the industrial era began. From that hinge, the modern trajectory departs in a direction with no precedent in 66 million years. This essay shows how that single diagram structurally defeats the most common climate myths, explains why current warming understates where the physics is pointing, and places the standard 2100 endpoint of climate projections in its proper paleoclimate context. The case does not rest on models, projections, or consensus. It is written in the paleoclimate record itself. justdean.substack.com/p/todays-combi… Dean Rovang · @deanrovang" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">substack.com/@deanrovang · ORCID: 0009-0006-1351-5320

@jemmm85517813 Ok. But there are no experiments which demonstrates that co2 can increase the temperature of a heat radiating body. And nothing in the theory of thermodynamics says that it can. No, neither Tyndall, Arrhenius, Foote or Fourier did experiments which shows this.

Because few people understand physics, chemistry & higher maths & stats, it is very easy to convince them CO2 causes global warming. (It is also very difficult to lead them back to the truth because climate science is in fact not fully understood. )

20 years ago the world took a year to add 1 gigawatt of solar. Now it takes just half a day. Solar costs have fallen by around 90% over the past decade, and as costs fall, installations accelerate. Nowhere is this clearer than in China 🇨🇳. It now accounts for well over half of global solar installations. india 🇮🇳 last year emerged as the third largest solar power and coal emission are pushed into decline in both India and China. The next wave is batteries. Similar to solar, battery deployments are now accelerating rapidly as costs fall. The US attack on Iran will supercharge this development as all nations will opt for energy independence through renewables. Welcome to our bright energy future! Thanks Gavin Mooney!
