The Iran war has exposed one of the biggest scams with the military-industrial complex. Despite spending trillions of dollars on defense, Iran has been able to damage and neutralize American weapons systems and military infrastructure using weapons that cost only a fraction of the price.
The United States maintains the largest military budget in the world, and the Pentagon can't pass a single audit. All this as infrastructure at home deteriorates, and living standards become increasingly difficult for everyday Americans.
If smaller militaries can challenge American power with far fewer resources, what are taxpayers really getting in return for this enormous level of spending?

Terminal 1 had only reopened on Monday. It was damaged in a previous Iranian attack back in February. This is part of one of the biggest exchange of strikes since the ceasefire began in April. Iran also fired on Bahrain. The U.S. says every single Iranian attack on American forces failed. Trump told ABC he thinks a deal is reachable within the week. Tehran's version of keeping the peace is apparently hitting the same airport twice.

A 67-year-old man's sailboat crashed into rocks on Santa Rosa Island on Friday. He reportedly fired emergency flares to signal rescuers, and investigators believe that's what ignited the blaze.
The fire has since burned nearly 17,000 acres, nearly a third of the island, destroying two historic structures and tearing through a grove of critically endangered Torrey Pine trees that exist naturally in only two places on earth.
The Coast Guard rescued him. He was found standing next to "SOS" carved into charred ground.
