Congrats to Stephanie Halene, Liang Shan, Yuanbin Song and team for a Herculean effort to convince humanized mice to make human red blood cells. We've been trying to do this for years but now it works if we replace the mouse liver with human. Enables study of human RBC diseases.

A good habit for trainees is compiling your data into "paper" figures EARLY in a project and keeping them updated. It helps you see connections and where you're going, prepares you to talk to PI, makes discussions more fruitful, and can keep project focused. You won't regret it.
