I have been at the tip of the spear on the open border problem, bringing it to mass attention. The fact that I’m thrown by what I’m seeing (and not seeing) should give the architects of this deportation scheme pause. I want immigration and immigrants that enhance America. Only. But we mustn’t loose our humanity in the process. We can’t destroy America to save it.

I have been vocal about my concerns with respect to illegal immigration, and my sympathy has (rightly or wrongly) been limited for people who broke the law to enter. We can’t give illegal immigrants an advantage over those who chose to abide by the law. Needless to say, I have zero tolerance for any illegal alien who has broken important laws within the country. But a person who was brought here as a minor—especially as a baby—is a different matter entirely. Such people didn’t break the law, and deporting such a person once they have grown, within our country and our culture, is inhumane. I did not vote for that, and it should obviously stop, along with the harassment of citizens who don’t happen to be carrying their papers. This is out of control.

@DrHellbilly @ZacharyLevi The fun part is allowing yourself to escape into that story you craft and create isn't it? This is why Hollywood will fail in the end. When you have a deadline for creativity, you're not at your best. Just look at the crap that's been coming out these past 10 years.

For the last five years I've been righting an original story. 16 chapters in and the story isn't close to half way. Would I love to get help from another person or Ai? Yeah but then it wouldn't be MY story. I want to finish it and would love for it to be seen. But even if it's not it's still my story.

But they won’t actually write that story. They’ll prompt an AI agent with some creative ideas, even some really good one’s, and AI will do all the heavy lifting. That’s not writing. Everyone has lots of great ideas. True writing requires sitting down and actually doing the work.

@ZacharyLevi Hey @ZacharyLevi, I think there was a misunderstanding. I agree AI isn’t writing. My point is that the next great story won’t come from Hollywood, which often feels out of fresh ideas. It’ll come from a “nobody” outside the system who’s been quietly dreaming up something amazing.

Hey Jason. You are correct. It will ABSOLUTELY break our industry into a million pieces. This is exactly what I’ve been trying to tell people for years. And it’s not just film and television. The video game industry, music industry. Really anything and everything that falls under entertainment. Once ANYONE can create ANYTHING, then all our jobs are shattered. And for what it’s worth, every other industry on earth is gonna be right behind it. Entertainment is just the canary in the coal mine. 🫤
