Feeling over the weather? These images taken aboard the @Space_Station show what storms can look like from above the clouds. Our astronauts in low Earth orbit have a unique vantage point that helps scientists on the ground study Earth.

We have increased the cadence of Artemis missions. In 2027, the Artemis III mission will test one or both commercial landers from SpaceX and Blue Origin in low Earth orbit. In 2028, Artemis IV will become the first Artemis lunar landing.

The Artemis II mission, set to launch no earlier than April 2026, remains unchanged. Four astronauts will journey around the Moon and verify the Orion spacecraft’s critical life support systems and prepare for future Artemis missions. go.nasa.gov/46F8EMC

What's up for March? The Moon will appear red during a total lunar eclipse on March 3. On the 8th, Venus and Saturn snuggle close in the night sky. Plus, March 20 is the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. More: science.nasa.gov/solar-system/w…

I wish I could argue against what you just posted but I cannot. I have felt the same about NASA since the Space Shuttle project retired. NASA just hasn't done anything. With a budget of $25B a year they send out an unmanned spacecraft every 5 years or so at a project cost of maybe $1.5B to $2.5B. That leaves a lot of money going down the drain to bureaucracy. If the new NASA Administrator doesn't take an axe to DEI, then NASA isn't going anywhere. Can't straddle that fence. 🇺🇸🚀

@Joltverse @NASAAdmin My father worked on the LEM, so I take no joy in any of this. This NASA is an exercise in wasting money. They will play this out for all its worth and then just let SpaceX do it. It's just another do-nothing DEI bureaucracy.

President Trump gave the world the Artemis Program, and NASA and our partners have the plan to deliver. We will standardize architecture where possible, add missions and accelerate flight rate, execute in an evolutionary way, and safely return American astronauts to the Moon, this time to stay. This is the NASA that once changed the world. This is the NASA that will do it again.

@Joltverse @NASAAdmin They were supposed to "go" the other day. Now it's back in the workshop. NASA's let its muscles atrophy to the point of exhaustion.

It’s #SunDay! Here’s your space weather report for the week of Feb. 20 - 26: •1 M-class flare •2 C-class flares •27 coronal mass ejections •0 geomagnetic storms This video from NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) shows the week’s activity. A pretty quiet week, partly due to the absence of sunspots on the Sun.👇

If it’s invisible, how do you map it and why does it *matter*? Using Webb data, researchers mapped locations of dark matter (shown in blue) across a field of nearly 800,000 galaxies. nasa.gov/missions/webb/…

SpaceX shares the same goal as NASA of returning to the Moon with a permanent presence as expeditiously and safely as possible. We look forward to working with NASA to fly missions that demonstrate valuable progress towards establishing a permanent, sustainable presence on the lunar surface. Frequent human exploration flights help establish a sustainable presence for humans in space.
