@johnkane1234567 @sainsburys Oh John, please shut up and go do something useful... honestly !🥱🥱🥱
English

Hi @sainsburys as a customer I do not want flags on my groceries. Neither do I want strawberries given a nationality.
Especially this Brit flag which is associated with colonialism.
Did you consider the views of customers who will not buy goods with colonial flags on them?

@KevinDGaskell @VodafoneGroup @EE have also increased my bill by 14% exactly the same process. Letter saying your bill is increasing by this much.
English

Thanks @VodafoneGroup for your imposed increase to the price I'm paying for my phone calls ... only 14% !! No ifs, buts, apologies. Not a hint of mitigation. Just 14%. Time to find a new supplier.

@StuartYoung002 @GBNEWS Driven by legislation. Legislation driven by politicians. Politicians driven by vocal public opinion. Public not fully informed about the complete environmental costs of EVs... needs a transparent and honest review.
English

@GBNEWS @KevinDGaskell Massive natural transition. Or Massive forced transition.

'We're at a generational shift... The world is moving to electric vehicles - that is a massive transition.'
Technology investor and former CEO of Porsche and BMW @KevinDGaskell discusses the 'century shift', as UK car production sinks to the lowest level in 66 years.
English

@Jannerlady @GBNEWS Completely agree. I'm not promoting EVs. Governments are. EVs have drawbacks including mining the metals/rare earths for batteries and then generating the electricity to power them. Needs careful consideration of the entire vehicle lifecycle, not knee jerk legislation.
English

@GBNEWS @KevinDGaskell EV's are already more expensive to charge then filling up a car with petrol, people worry about taking them on long journeys not being able to find a working charging point, and what happens when we have blackouts like threatened with this week
English

@Scarfer13 @GBNEWS Sadly true... I believe that hydrogen ICE power trains are the way to go. But science advances and investors needed.
English

@wotasillybilly @GBNEWS It will happen, over perhaps 25 years, because the current legislation will force it. But it wasn't long ago that diesel enjoyed tax benefits over petrol! Legislation can change as science makes it clear that batteries are potentially very damaging to manufacture and recycle.
English

@GBNEWS @KevinDGaskell no its not a transition ! its never going to happen
i 'd rather pay £10 a litere than drive a poxy electric car
English

@RDMoore007 @GBNEWS Please listen again. I wasn't promoting EVs, I was commenting on the legislation driven shift from ICE to EVs. Powering EVs is going to be challenging. I agree that hydrogen is greener but the science to produce in bulk (requires lots of electricity) isn't there yet. Mr Ego :-)
English

@ColinGeranium @GBNEWS Completely agree... I believe hydrogen powered ICE is a much greener solution. Science and economics needs to catch up though to make it practical.
English

@translunarmusic @GBNEWS Stories coming out of this sad failure suggest that it was a poor approach with inappropriate decisions by the leaders. It was a startup which never started. Too much propaganda, not enough quiet application. Very disappointing but I hope someone will pick it up and build it.
English

@GBNEWS @KevinDGaskell Well at least Britain is poised to exploit this wonderful business opportunity! 🙄

English

@jessp711 @MrMoz22 @GBNEWS I was discussing the challenges the auto sector faced in 2022. The sector is moving to EVs because governments are forcing it. I was not proposing EVs as my preference. I think EVs have many drawbacks. My preference would be hydrogen power, but the economics need resolving.
English

@DavidFergusonNI @GBNEWS I expect that EVs will become less expensive and ownership models will change (more hire / short term lease) but I agree, that doesn't solve the entire issue of protecting the planet. A lot more work and joined up thinking is needed by govt and industry.
English

@GBNEWS @KevinDGaskell They really aren’t! Only the super rich, the people who think they are superior or the silver spoon kids can afford a decent car and then drive them to the airport to jet off on holidays several times a year and don’t care about the climate.
