Steyer: I have an incredibly strong anti-ICE platform. I think they are a criminal organization, and we have a very strong plan when it comes to prosecuting them. You don’t have to trust me. The head of ICE went online to say that my program is unfair to ICE agents, and I took that as a huge compliment.

Steyer: Becerra is saying, “We’re not going to change anything.” And I’m saying that’s ridiculous. The truth is, we have to make California affordable for Californians, and we have to get back to the idea of a joyous state where we not only imagine the future, we create it—and we do it together.

Steyer: This race really comes down to three people. A hard-right MAGA Republican, Hilton, who is following Donald Trump’s lead in doing everything he can to hurt Californians. A corporate Democrat, Becerra, who’s taking money from oil companies and tobacco companies. He’s being supported by all the corporations and rich people in California because he’s promised to do nothing. Me—I’m the person who’s promising change in California, who’s promising to drive down costs, who’s talking about single-payer health care and a great school system again, who’s talking about reviving the California dream and making change. So the last words I’ll say to you on this are very simple: Do you want a California that’s for working Californians, or do you want a California that works for corporations? That’s what it’s come down to. It seems like a very obvious choice to me.
