@marcusveniquis There is no point if you are just forcing more people into leasehold debt traps which ruin finances and lives. We need to make flat living attractive first. That means a mass shift to commonhold.

The dignity and courage of this family in asking questions on why he died is admirable and heartbreaking. But once again it’s normal people facing the tragic consequences of systemic failures. And once again it’s the bereaved who are thinking about how to save others.

8.5 years since Grenfell. As the Tower comes down, they want Grenfell out of sight, out of mind. We will not let that happen. Today we will gather at 6pm for a vigil to mark 8.5 years. Join us to pay your respects and demand justice.

1️⃣ year today since the "Remediation Acceleration Plan" announcement. The only "change" leaseholders have seen is a new Housing Secretary and Minister for Building Safety. @mhclg are still dragging their feet. @UKLabour are still far from keeping their manifesto promises.

Leaseholders and residential freeholders often tell me about the difficulties they face. After two engagement sessions with constituents, I raised these concerns in #PMQs today and asked the Deputy PM what steps the Government will take to improve the situation.

98 months since we lost 72 loved ones in the Grenfell fire. As work starts next month to dismantle the Tower, we ask you to continue to keep Grenfell in your hearts and minds until some form of Justice comes 💚

Having spent so long reporting on Grenfell, and the devastation the loss of 72 lives has left in its wake, it sometimes just floors me that more lives have been lost than that on average every single day in Gaza for more than 600 days

I think I'd like to see the 'state will step in' powers coming in earlier because the mucking around by the freeholder arrives long before the final deadline. It's when they won't even do surveys, apply for funds etc. This is a power which should have been adopted from the start
