All the Australian TERFs are coming out of the woodwork, now that the #MAGA #ChristianNationalist anti-transgender legislative model has been brought to Australia, in part by the Australian Christian Lobby. The hate-filled Atlas Network is doing its work to destroy as many minorities and women’s rights as they can. Transgender women are not the issue in women’s bathrooms. It is astonishing and rather wonderful to see that Australia is finally - finally - waking up to the clash between the sex-based rights of women and girls - and gays and lesbians - and the unreasonable demands made by those who believe in universal “gender identity.” Astonishing that it has taken the ludicrous ruling in the case of @salltweets to alert the public to something many people have been saying since 2013. Wonderful because it means more and more politicians are gradually coming around to the view that @JuliaGillard betrayed women in the most despicable way - and that the law must be changed.
The Murdoch media group has been running a global hate campaign against transgender people for a decade or more. @RitaPanahi is playing her dutiful part for Rupert and Lachlan to ensure there is maximum hate towards the transgender community in Australia to desensitise the Australian public that it is ‘only common sense’ to start with the first ban on transgender people. Given the draft legislation has been co-authored by the Australian Christian Lobby and their partners, they, @The_Nationals, are following the #ChristianNationalist, #MAGA playbook (written by the Heritage Foundation), which was extensively supported by the Fox News Network and other Murdoch outlets in the USA. The narrative of ‘only common sense’ is dangerous because these issues require nuance, and they don’t like it at all. That is why these groups are against critical thinking. If they get away with this, it is a slippery slope to the full banning of health care for Australian transgender people, as we have seen in a significant number of states in the USA. The same applies to the 'common sense’ abortion access reduction being proposed in South Australia.
