@KrysiaJ Yeah I flew on one to Bahrain and luckily the have me the exit row. But they really are tiny leg room. And that was only an hour so fine but wouldnโ€™t want to do anymore than 2.5 hours really on one of those. Exit row was great tho

Did not really enjoy a 6 hour flight on Fly Dubai. Those planes are too small for longer journeys and the product isnโ€™t great tbh. I wouldnโ€™t mind if it was a budget airline but the prices arenโ€™t exactly cheap!

@Nicoledso Massively on my list now after seeing Montenegro. Itโ€™s just a bit faffy to get to from here I think? I seem to recall no direct flights? Or have I made that up?

@UtahFlatRanger So? Iโ€™ve only visited the US once (for work) the reason isnโ€™t because I donโ€™t think the US has some beautiful places but because I want to experience a completely different culture, language etc. just doesnโ€™t appeal to me as much as Europe, Asia, africa

@deeharvey @Domjb03 I'm in Switzerland right now and there's heaps of Brits who moved here before Brexit to get pub jobs and/or study who are mostly not rich or posh, and heaps of Irish doing the same. Loads of them never reached fluent German and don't need to. Brits are simply solipsistic.

Chatted politics with my French tutor and when I told her some Brexiteers think that the EU is elitist and the benefits, like studying abroad/free movement, are just for rich kids who can afford it she looked visibly confused ๐Ÿซค

@proptechpioneer I canโ€™t help but think this is a good thing for the country. Although I appreciate it will cause short term pain. 1) rents and sales prices eventually come down 2) will encourage more people to invest in stocks and shares which is much better for the economy.

Good article covering many of the issues plaguing the London (and broader English) property market. The reality is most small landlords can no longer make the numbers work - and with capital values likely to decline things will get considerably worse.

Got to love Americans. If you travel 30 minutes any direction in the UK they have a different word for bread roll, but sure, we don't understand dialects
Kami Mizuumi@MizuumiKami

@ActuallyCrab Ooh that's another one, y'all (specifically brits) just cannot comprehend the concept of differing dialects and slang lmfao

@Iris_readagain @adbennoEFC Sheโ€™s probably still active and healthy at 80 exactly because she kept working. Keeps her mind busy, keeps her social. Too many people see retirement age and then just do nothing. As with any muscle heart, brain etc of you donโ€™t use it you lose it.

@Nicoledso @adbennoEFC Some pensioners are not so fortunate as to be active and healthy in their 70s. Some women have been denied their pension until they are 68. There are lots of individual circumstances. Your mother is very fortunate, And if she is 80, you must be 50 and should know better than this

@Iris_readagain @adbennoEFC Iโ€™m 47. More people should continue working. My mum wishes she hadnt tetired from paid work when she was 65 (she chose to work longer to have money for retirement) but as sheโ€™s still working voluntarily she wishes she had continued paid work until 70. Keeps her mind busy
