Restaurant Steak ’n Shake just refused to join woke companies bashing America, instead launching a new pro-America product: The $2.50 Patriot Milkshake topped with a Statue of Liberty is in honor of America’s 250th Birthday. Thank you, @SteaknShake!

When I tried a Mac for a few months I used that but it didn’t map drives IIRC. There was another free software I tried too but that wouldn’t sleep. Parallels worked great as a trial once I turned off all integration options but I wasn’t ready for the annual fee. Great hardware though!

So the Macbook Pro M5 Pro running Windows on ARM in a Parallels virtual machine (32GB / 8 Cores) is FASTER than a Surface Pro 11 Snapdragon X (12 cores) in single core and just as fast multicore. Macbook Pro is basically the best Windows ARM machine available, AND in a VM

@NicklasNilsso14 @DirtyTesLa The newer model 3 gets the front camera way dirtier than the old one. Must be airflow changes. The back has always been a disaster

The Verge has lost its way. Several months ago, they interviewed me for 45 minutes about Apple Vision Pro. I spent 43 minutes talking about what I love, and 2 minutes on what I’d change. They twisted parts of those 2 minutes and cut everything positive I said. To make it worse, the author opened the interview by saying they were biased against headsets. I miss the old Verge. The one that was fun. The one that spotlighted tech instead of throwing shade.

He should stick to medicine Some FACTS about fusion 1. The reactions to date have lasted 22 minutes and 17 seconds. Not long enough for sustainable electricity generation 2. The amount of electricity used to create the magnetic fields for plasma containment is greater than the energy released by the reaction. In other words this is currently an energy consuming exercise In fact, ITER isn't even designed to produce more energy than the site load This stuff is very far away from being commercialised in the power sector. It's a scientific curiosity but it's not going anywhere near the grid other than as a load for decades yet

Fusion energy isn’t just the future, it’s already a thriving industry in the UK. Our new Fusion Strategy backs British science and innovation with £2.5bn investment, supporting 10,000 jobs by 2030 and helping take fusion from the lab to the grid. 🎥 Lord Vallance explains

@nafonsopt Age old bug. I reported in feedback 50 times over 5 years. Reinstall your PC and it’ll go away. If @Microsoft cared about the environment they’d save all this wasted power being meaninglessly burnt.

Did Spotify just become a go-to app for high-end audio on PC? 🤔 The new feature in the Windows 11 app introduces a feature that bypasses system audio processing for "bit-perfect" playback. windowscentral.com/software-apps/…

@wholemars I said this nearly 2 years ago. It’s logical to replace autopilot with a single stack driving model for maximum safety. You can limit FSD to turns and change lane.

Tesla NEEDS to do a free version of FSD Delivering cars with just TACC is a fucked up situation Please Tesla, this will supercharge adoption. It’s not for me, i’m a paid FSD user. But we need to hook the users who don’t want to or can’t pay.

FIRST RESPONDER HIT WITH $6,200 PHONE BILL FOR 3GB A Florida service member on AT&T’s FirstNet plan opened his bill expecting about $40 and instead found a $6,200 charge for just three gigabytes of data. The network, built specifically for first responders with billions in federal backing, somehow billed the usage at $2 per megabyte. AT&T only wiped the charge after reporters called asking questions, which raises the obvious one: if it vanished in hours, why was it there at all? Source: NewsForce

@Jimster4801 @TailosiveTech Every part. You have a kid break a USB port or headphone port and they swap out. The screen comes off easily. Battery. Everything removes without glue and after only removing a couple of screws. Very unlike Apple.

@ClaireCoutinho @grok is the Prime Minister correct here that UK renewables provide price isolation from international energy markets? Is it cheaper or more expensive now and in the future?

This is extraordinarily misinformed. Ed Miliband just bought offshore wind on a twenty year contract at a HIGHER price than gas power is now during an energy price spike. They are locking us into crisis-level prices for decades. That’s what they call ‘control’.
