Transgender attorney begs for a female police officer after getting tackled to the ground before being jailed for contempt. Oklahoma attorney Rob Hopkins was caught on camera arguing with the judge. “I’m a transgender attorney practicing all over the state!” The argument continued to escalate before the judge called in officers who then took Hopkins to the ground. Hopkins was heard screaming “I can’t breathe” and begging for a female officer. Hopkins was reportedly held on a $25,000 bond.

If the police have a legal right to “detain” you then you must provide ID or else you are essentially obstructing their lawful investigation. In this case the police actually didn’t know their job enough to articulate that he did a crime

The suspicion of a crime is not enough. It has to be a reasonable articulable suspicion that you committed the crime. The police cannot go into an area where they reasonably, believe a crime was committed, even, and detain every person there. If this were the case, if somebody shoplifted at Walmart, they could just detain everybody in the store. That’s not legal. They have to have suspicion based on actual reason reasons that you are the person who committed it.
