A mighty fortress is our God, a bulwark never failing; our helper He amid the flood of mortal ills prevailing. For still our ancient foe doth seek to work us woe; his craft and power are great, and armed with cruel hate, on earth is not his equal.

So let me get this right. Alex Clark isn’t married or a mother, so she can’t speak. Allie Beth Stuckey is those things, but she should be home making sourdough, so she can’t speak. Which women, exactly, should be speaking?
@

Alex Clark has some good ideas and I've enjoyed listening to her podcast in the past, but I don't think it's wise for her to have a prominent role at TPUSA's Women's Leadership Conference considering that she's still unmarried at age 33. I'd much rather see a woman up on the

Hey, Mr. Cowardly Blocker. It's worse if you're shilling for Israel and not getting paid. I was being charitable by assuming you're at least getting a few shekels.

This hating on strong female characters is getting old. I'm starting to think that everyone that hates on it is gay who had weak mothers. I enjoyed Wynonna Erp and Lost Girl. I could really get into Van Helsing and I've never seen Killjoys. Yet I haven't seen anyone complain about Xena.

Nothing did more to promote the "DEATH TO MEN" movement more than the rebranding of the SYFY Network. Originally launched as The Sci-Fi Channel in 1992, it ran pure science fiction, fantasy, and horror, and a mix of serious and campy programming that appealed heavily to male viewers. Then, in 2009 it became “Syfy” — and suddenly every show seemed to be a girlboss adventure that openly hated its male audience: "Van Helsing": Now VANESSA Van Helsing, the legendary vampire hunter's descendant who slaughters only MALE vampires. "Wynonna Earp" – Wyatt Earp’s great-great-granddaughter who, along with her lesbian sister, uses the "Peacemaker" revolver to send MALE demons back to hell. "Lost Girl" – Follows Bo, a lesbian succubus whose sexuality "ACCIDENTALLY" (and sometimes on purpose) kills MEN. "Killjoys" – Dutch, a tiny female bounty hunter routinely kills hostile mercenaries, corporate agents, assassins, and criminals - ALWAYS MEN. And that doesnt even cover all the shark movies, giant monster flicks, and silly disaster films where ALL THE MALE CHARACTERS DIE, and the "final girl" is the only one who actually gets shit done. And with that, the channel became unwatchable for a lot of its original audience. It wasn't bad movies that killed SYFY, it was choosing a side AGAINST the male viewers that supported it.

She could’ve disappeared immediately after Charlie died and focused on raising Charlie’s children. She could’ve had someone take over TPUSA and stepped away for the greener pasture of private motherhood. Had she done so, she would’ve had Princess Diana-levels of endearment from the right for life and the core memory of Charlie and the circumstances surrounding his death would’ve inspired a generation of young men to reach for greater heights. Instead, she became both a corporate queen and e-girl at the same time, simultaneously pushing out fundraising emails and doing Fox News book tours. Now she’s pushing Israel stuff. Nannies raise her children while she drives TPUSA into the ground and pisses away the inspiring legacy of Charlie Kirk. It’s a combination of sad, frustrating, and disappointing all at the same time.

Erika Kirk is teaming up with Christian Zionist pastor Jack Graham to start their “Make Heaven Crowded” tour. Speakers are expected to discuss the “biblical basis” that those who bless Israel will be blessed, and that Christians must stand with Israel. The tour is designed to keep Charlie Kirk’s mission “going strong.” Erika Kirk has labeled anti-Israel sentiment as “pure evil” and a “moral failure.”

@HarrisonHSmith It's not a matter of violating the Constitution. It's a matter of properly understanding and applying it. What does it mean, who wrote it, and for whom was it written? Answer those correctly and order can be restored without violating any principals.

All this hate for evangelicals when, statistically, we are the only bloc consistently holding it down for biblical marriage, the pro-life cause, secure borders, and every other issue. We are by far the most conservative and united in every political, cultural, and moral area. This is not statistically contested. Without the strength and cohesion of this group, conservatives lose everything. Consequently, the country loses everything. Not an exaggeration. So ask yourself: why would someone want to divide, destroy, and demoralize this stalwart group? The answer is obvious if the person is progressive, but it becomes a bit murky when the people targeting this group are on the “right,” right? Something to ponder

The reason these memes used to hit is because he was an outsider mocking the establishment. Now he’s an establishment hack mocking the people who actually expected him to take on the deep state. His narcissism will always prevent him from realizing why the jokes aren’t landing anymore.

@SandyofCthulhu If someone's reaction to being rightly identified as a treacherous murderer is to commit more treachery and murder, I'm not sure they were ever almost redeemed.

The important thing is that villains must be villainous, and their crimes not excused, EVEN if they are later redeemed! Example: Edmund Pevensie, in Narnia, is absolutely a loathsome traitor, and the book works hard to redeem him, and pulls it off. Ebenezer Scrooge is bad as can be. Heck, he's the archetype of the evil capitalist! And yet HE is thoroughly redeemed. One of the most heartbreaking things in Lord of the Rings is when Smeagol is ALMOST redeemed, but then Sam, misunderstanding what's happening, spoils it. It took me 3 chapters to forgive Sam, but of course he was trying to do right by Frodo. But it's obviously just fine to have unredeemed villains. Edmund is redeemed, but not the White Witch! Smeagol clearly could have been redeemed, but not Ugluk.

Yes and no. It is actively harmful to tell children that all villains must be redeemed. But it would also be harmful to tell them no villains can be redeemed. Right now, though, we have a dearth of Skeletors.

I think some part of it is that it would feel uncomfortable seeing a girl get beat up too badly - physically and figuratively the same way a male MC would be thrown to the wringer. So these girl MCs are kind of cushioned. They aren’t put through the wringer to the extent of their male counterparts.

Naturally she fails to understand the meaning of Mary Sue entirely. It does not mean "girl character", it means "perfect character who can do anything with no limitations". Luke Skywalker was a half decent pilot with a degree of natural ability with the Force that takes him years to develop. He isn't particularly good at anything else. From the very beginning of The Force Awakens, Rey is an expert pilot, a master martial artist, a top spaceship mechanic, and within five seconds of finding out that the Force exists ascends to the level of Jedi Master. She's also hot, smart, brave, and all the other good things. She needs neither assistance nor instruction. Character growth is unnecessary and impossible. Her only struggle is getting people to admit her natural perfect awesomeness. And even this comes easily to her.
Fandom Pulse@fandompulse

Daisy Ridley says calling her character in Star Wars A Mary Sue is sexist: “The Mary Sue thing in itself is sexist because it’s the name of a woman. Everyone was saying that Luke had the exact same [capabilities]. I think Rey is incredible vulnerable, and nothing she’s doing is for the greater good. She’s just doing what she thinks is the right thing. And she doesn’t want to do some of it, but she feels compelled to do it. So for me, I was just confused.” Is this why modern Star Wars fails because they can't understand criticism?
