We’ve announced plans to open a new site in Houston, the second of 4 new locations coming to the U.S. The $6.5 billion facility will bring an expected 4,615 jobs and help boost domestic medicine manufacturing.

@JaceyJetton Quorum busting is the same as a Senate filibuster. But you probably object to that.

Respectfully, Rep Dutton, the two-thirds quorum rule was not designed to hand the minority a veto, it was to ensure every district had a voice in debate. The Texas Founders expected all members to show up and represent their constituents. Walking out silences those voices and undermines the very protection the rule was meant to provide.

Keep up the pressure! Democrats are the ones who brought Washington-style division to the Texas House in 2021, and they deserve every consequence for pulling this stunt again. Our Texas Founders required a two-thirds majority to ensure members were present to vote, not so lawmakers could flee to another state and grind the people’s business to a halt. Stop embarrassing Texas. #txlege
