I went to CPAC expecting America First and unapologetic faith. What I saw was something different. More foreign flags than American ones. A message that didn’t reflect the values it claims to stand for. So I did what I had to do. I went backstage. I confronted leadership. And I walked out. This isn’t on anyone I was with that was my decision alone. My convictions aren’t for sale, and I won’t pretend when something feels off. If we’re going to say “America First” and stand on Christian values… then it needs to actually look like it. I’ll stand on that. 🇺🇸

I've been holding back on this, but I'm just gonna let loose... So many of these "protestors" here in Asheville NC have had their lives DRAMATICALLY improved by President Trump. Trump's FEMA resolved 80% of ALL open Hurricane Helene cases Biden left sitting 116 days... in 5 DAYS. Trump's DOT gave nearly $2 BILLION to fix roads and bridges in WNC, which is the largest Emergency Relief allocation in federal highway history. Trump's DOT reopened I-40 in 5 months. Everyone said it would take years. Trump's HUD approved $1.4 billion for Helene housing recovery so fast that even Democrat Governor Josh Stein publicly thanked him for it. Trump's USDA delivered $221 million directly to WNC farmers who lost everything. Trump gave NC 6 full months of 100% federal cost coverage — one of the longest in FEMA history. The same people driving on rebuilt roads, drinking clean water, living the comeback... are out here protesting the man who made most of it happen. JUST GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE!!! It's not that hard. He knew you hated him before the storm. He knew that when he landed in Asheville. And guess what? HE SHOWED UP AND HELPED YOU ANYWAYS!!!!!! And today you grabbed your little sign and costumes, got in your little Subaru, you drove on those rebuilt roads, over those rebuilt bridges, passed rebuilt houses and rebuilt parks, to protest a man who helped your city. You look stupid, out of touch, and insanely ungrateful.

Let's talk about John Barrasso (R-WY, Majority Whip): Senator John Barrasso, as Senate Majority Whip, played a CENTRAL role in pushing through the partial DHS funding bill at 3 a.m. in a near-empty Senate chamber. The bill funded TSA, FEMA, Coast Guard and other parts of DHS — but explicitly excluded new/additional funding for ICE and key CBP enforcement operations. Barrasso was on the floor declaring “Time is up” and helped whip support (or at least non-objection) for the unanimous consent deal. Probably spent hours calling making sure he cleared without a recorded vote or real debate. Publicly, Barrasso was rightly tough on Democrats — calling out their obstruction, airport chaos, and saying they had “blood on their hands” for blocking full funding and prioritizing restrictions on ICE over security. But when it came time to close the deal, the Whip helped deliver Democrats exactly what they’d demanded for weeks: DHS funding minus real immigration enforcement resources. This sets a dangerous precedent. Voice vote. No roll call. No public accountability on who was there or objected. Then straight to recess. We needed a stand for full border security funding — not a midnight carve-out. Leader Johnson and House Republicans are already pushing back and rejecting this approach. Time for Senate Republicans to show real leverage on ICE/deportations via reconciliation or whatever it takes. No more 3 a.m. surrenders. Should leadership like Barrasso be held accountable for optics and outcomes like this?

🚨 THE HOUSE JUST SNAPPED — Rep. Burchett OBLITERATES Senate GOP Leadership: "They Planned It... Now We're Headed Home!" Tim Burchett calls it EXACTLY like it is: Thune and the RINO crew left America hanging while the House did the dirty work. Two Americas. One side fights. The other side plays games with your future. Patriots are DONE waiting. The awakening inside the GOP is HERE. This clip is going nuclear — share it everywhere before they bury it! #BREAKING A large group of Middle Eastern men march through Sydney’s Pitt St Mall screaming “Allahu Akbar” Welcome to Anthony Albanese’s multicultural Australia. This would be very confronting for any normal Australian just trying to go about their day.

John Thune was derelict in his duty and was so worried about getting the Senate to be able to go on their vacation that he didn't even read the bill. This is one of the biggest, sloppiest betrayals of the American public by a Senate Majority Leader, possibly in the history of the US. It proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that John Thune is not cut out for this job and he should resign immediately.

Damn, so if Thune and his cohort of GOP lackies that follow him are cutting deals with democrats without even reading the text, then Thune truly has NO CONFIDENCE and must be removed from that position. How embarrassing! They really attempted to push this at 3am while we slept and didn't even bother reading it, choosing to ram it through just so they can go on their taxpayer funded vacation. Then we see video of them attempting to sneak off into airports and hide their faces!!!

Hello Senator Thune, At 3 AM on Friday, March 27th, in a near-empty chamber, you passed a bill by voice vote that excludes all funding for ICE and CBP. Let me repeat that: voice vote. No roll call. No record of who was there. No accountability. Just you, Barrasso, and a handful of senators shuffling paper in the dead of night while America slept. You could have demanded a recorded vote. You chose not to. You could have held the line for five more days until the House returned. You chose not to. You could have used the same procedural tools Democrats have used against you for 40 days. You chose not to. Instead, you gave Chuck Schumer exactly what he asked for, DHS funding minus immigration enforcement, and called it a win. Then you walked to the cameras and blamed the Democrats. Let's be precise about what you did: 1. You caved to a demand Democrats made on Day 1 of this shutdown. Forty-one days of supposed hardball negotiation, and you settled for their opening offer. 2. You handed them a template. The next time Democrats want to defund any agency — ICE, CBP, or anything else — they now know: just shut down DHS and wait. John Thune will fold at 3 AM. 3. You punted to reconciliation. "Good possibility," you said. Not "we will." Not "guaranteed." Just maybe. Meanwhile, ICE operates on fumes from last year's bill with no certainty of future funding. The precedent you set: You have argued for months that the filibuster is sacrosanct. That the 60-vote threshold protects minority rights. That we cannot bend Senate rules for policy wins. But at 3 AM on Friday, you bent every norm that actually mattered: • Voice vote to avoid accountability • Empty chamber to avoid debate • Midnight deal to avoid scrutiny • Immediate recess to avoid questions You'll bend the rules to avoid a fight. You just won't bend them to win one. What you've actually accomplished: Democrats demanded ICE restrictions. They got ICE defunded. Not reformed. Not restrained. Defunded. And you're out here tweeting about how Democrats are the "Defund the Police" party while you just voted to defund border enforcement at 3 in the morning. The question you should answer: Why did this deal have to happen at 3 AM? Why couldn't it happen at 3 PM, with cameras rolling and every senator on record? You know why. Because you didn't want your voters to see what surrender looks like. Here's my message: We saw it anyway. Stop hiding behind "Democrat obstruction." You're the Majority Leader. You set the schedule. You control the floor. You chose this outcome. Own it.

Why there hasn’t been a @SenateGOP revolt led by my Senators @SenRickScott and @SenAshleyMoody and others is the biggest surprise and mystery. How do so many “conservative” Senators stand by and get exploited by the @SenThomTillis @LeaderJohnThune @SenMcConnell @lisamurkowski @SenSusanCollins who collude with Democrats to resist the agenda of @POTUS mandate majority of American 🇺🇸 voters. Disgusting. Weak. Disgraceful.
