He pleaded guilty to stirring up racial hatred under the Public Order Act by posting direct calls to attack the Britannia Hotel in Leeds housing asylum seekers during the UK riots: "Every man and their dog should be smashing fuck out of Britannia Hotel" (plus similar incitement). The hotel was attacked with stones and windows broken. The judge noted his job, family, and good character as mitigation but imposed 20 months' custody (after 1/3 guilty plea reduction) due to the serious risk of violence. This clip is from that broadcast case and has been recirculated.
