Well said. $MELI has a management team that is operating on a different level than Wall Street can really understand or want to understand. Even so, I think the credit risk fear is overblown. I felt Ozzie was pretty clear on the call about credit strategy. The interesting part is MELI could have easily tightened their lending standards, captured less of the market, grow 30-40% instead of nearly 50%, show stable/rebounding margins with higher NIMAL and would have gotten bid up 10%+ after earnings. But, instead management saw an opportunity and is taking full advantage of it.

@NewcomerInvest Buying Bitcoin was stupid, Investors who look at investing in companies like this would buy their own Bitcoin if they wanted, they don't want a company to buy a speculative coin. The optics (no pun) look terrible. Buffett would puke.

Another point that raised eyebrows: $KITS team made a modest purchase in a Bitcoin ETF as a complement to their cash reserves. Over the long term, I’ve no doubt this will turn out to be a better investment than cash. However, $BTC performance was 👎🏽 this quarter leading to an unrealized loss on that ETF. Should companies own some crypto? This is a legitimate question and while modest crypto allocation can drive additional gains, it also brings an extra level of uncertainty that some investors cannot stomach. Mgmt indicated in the call that they have no plans to add anymore to that position and will be reducing it over the longer term. I think that’s a wise decision.

If the Apollo missions were faked and we never actually walked on the Moon, then why would “they” bother to orchestrate a fake “UFO sighting” while doing it, only to immediately classify it for 61 years? 🤔

@wealthmatica The problem with this is people don't believe it can continue the growth With such a high PE they would need many years of sustained growth to bring the multiple two reasonable level

I lost 97.7% on one REIT investment. That is the reality of aggressive investing. If you want outsized returns, you must accept that some positions will go to zero. There is no free lunch in investing, only risk and reward.

@CDInewsletter The problem with Michael is that he's completely right but missing the fact that the market has changed dramatically since 2008 The Federal reserve will bail out any bad market which gives everyone confidence to keep shoveling money in regardless. It's not the same market

Friends don’t let friends take Michael Burry bubble threats seriously. Guy got one macro call right 20 years ago, has gone 0/65 since, and some people still think he’s worth listening to. Even if he gets this one right -- he might! -- he's still the boy who cried bubble.

@eftegarie Should I do a video on what I'm getting for $450/month USD? I'm thinking yes. My only reservation is maybe it'll blow up and all my Elio neighbours will be asking "are you that Twitter video guy" for months to come.

Bangkok has tons of $150/month apartments. Don’t believe anyone who says otherwise. A $150 room will be decently “livable”, like in the pic below. A 25sqm studio in a 15yr old condo outside of the city center. Nothing fancy, but doable for brokies. My own rent is ~$500/mo.
