@louorns I’ve been baffled by the non use of little Mendy especially but from behind the dugouts, you do notice his personal touch, I think it counts for a lot. From memory, the players never downed tools in his first spell, he was undermined by things outside his control

K9 with 7 in 20 this season, 8 if you include his bullet header vs Boro. Good going for a kid in his first season at a high level of football. You’d think he’s only going to get better with the more he plays as the season goes on

@JordanWiemer Did the Georgi sub actually work in our favour? Looks to me like you need the wide players inverted in a 442?

One thing I’ll say about this team, we’re incredibly fit. This squads ability to play at a good tempo in what is a very stretched and demanding system is impressive. Louza/Bola/Ngakia were relentless.

@louorns Who plays central striker though? Dennis back in January if fit?

I’m also begging to stop the 4-4-2. The starting positions are too deep for the players we have — it’s partly why the decision making is erratic in the final third because the players have too much ground to cover up and are knackered by the time something needs to happen

@louorns Might the set up be dictated somewhat by our strikers? None seem to currently suit the lone centre forward role

Maamma the biggest positive tonight. He’s properly found his feet now and looks every bit of the talent the club thought he would be. Giorgi back too also great to see. Can we bin off the 442 now. Doesn’t work without KB
