Since it increased its wealth tax in 2022, a quarter of Norway’s top 400 taxpayers have left, representing more than $54bn (£44bn) in assets and a net decrease of $448m (£360m) in tax revenue. telegraph.co.uk/money/tax/inco…

Oxford Smith School: "if all UK households switched to renewable energy, bills could be reduced by £105-£441 per household per year on average" But read on: "We do not explicitly include the costs of intermittency from the switch to renewables" Ie, those numbers are misleading

Here is the full speech. You can hear the sighs and moans from Labour after about a minute when I raised the rape gangs. This is exactly the mentality that meant the gangs have operated unimpeded for years. They never learn.

@VerminusM @MaxNordau I disagree. The hate is current. History is merely "justification"* and excuses. Jews have historically been a target of hate by many groups. Current haters merely recycle the historical "justifications." * Scare quotes because their excuses justify nothing.

Jews are the only people on the planet whom it's okay to hate because of crimes allegedly committed by their ancestors centuries or even thousands of years ago. No one hates Mexicans because of human sacrifice in the Aztec Empire. No one curses Italians for killing Spartacus in 71 BC. No one attacks Turks for slavery during the Ottoman Empire or the Greek and Armenian genocides. White supremacists don't hate Black people for the actions of their ancestors in Africa. No one begrudges modern Germans or Japanese the atrocities of WWII, despite some of its participants still being alive. Yet somehow, it's perfectly acceptable to attack Jews for medieval libels of coin-clipping and usury, 100-year-old involvement in the Bolshevik movement (for which other nations are excused despite making 95% of it) or even for 2000-year-old accusations, such as killing Christ (who was killed by Romans) or using human blood in rituals (despite the prohibition on consuming blood being one the first in the Bible.) No other prejudice works like this. Ask yourself why.

@paulp_123 @MattHughesMedia @KieranMaguire The breach of sustainability is what generates points deductions. And had these payments been made in a regular way, those rule would nit have been breached. Read the conclusions of the investigation, its all there. Even for the slow

The grooming gangs are the biggest sex crime, the biggest hate crime, and the biggest cover-up in our country's history. Keir Starmer didn't want to face the truth. Now he's trying to botch the inquiry. But we can force him to do it properly 👇
Katie Lam@Katie_Lam_MP

You can read our concerns about the consultation at the link below. It only takes a moment to fill in your details. We'll then submit a response to the Government consultation for you. We need to uncover the full truth about the grooming gangs. groominggangjustice.uk

People are so outraged by an image of some kids waving flags, that they ignore an entire post and try to find evidence I used an AI photo! Really? Anyway, here's the original footage from Pathe news.

@themagic_tophat The problem is the UAE has made a treaty with Israel and by proxy the US and UK and they are untouchable. This isn’t Russian oil money…this is Western oil money…the powers don’t want to disrupt and touch that. It will be small fine.

People keep talking about a mere points deduction for Man City. Imagine for a moment that you’re judging what they did and you came to the conclusion that… 1) They demonstrated a total lack of respect for the rules and instead, a total preparedness to cheat them. 2) Their cheating was on a massive scale that distorted the league’s integrity for years and continues to do so - they have become financially dominant through cheating. 3) They demonstrated a total disregard for the Premier League Board’s authority, undertaking costly law-fare wherever possible to make this a battle of financial attrition. 4) They have, in effect, unlimited resources. 5) The only way this came to light was because they made a mistake and allowed themselves to be hacked. An event unlikely to repeat itself. Then surely the implication is that they are a dangerous, rogue participant that is completely ungovernable and whose presence in the league completely undermines its integrity? Personally, I see very few workable solution to such a problem and none of them are a mere points deduction.

The past heads of our security services have today said we must urgently proscribe Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps because of threats posed to British citizens on UK soil. For several years, I have called on the Government to proscribe the IRGC to protect the UK, including directly asking the then Prime Minister in November 2023 👇🏻 In the interests of national security, the Government must act now.

🚨BREAKING! The 🇬🇧UK plans to lend £746 Million to 🇳🇬Nigeria to help them refurbish their Ports. The consistent aid given to African is getting out of hand! Africa has received more “aid” in the last century than Britain did after the Blitz. The UK received $3.7billion in aid from the US and this was after a BRUTAL WORLD WAR and they used that money wisely to rebuild the UK into the state we see today. Not only that, most of the African politicians are living better than European politicians in 20 bedroom mansions whilst the general Africa public live in poverty …. Where is this aid going ???

Everyone should now understand the logic behind Chelsea issuing 6–7 year contracts to players. It’s not about keeping them that long, it’s a financial strategy. Long contracts protect asset value, prevent free transfers, and give the club stronger negotiating power when selling. A player with 3–4 years left on his deal will always command a higher fee. For example, Enzo Fernández still has 6 years left on his contract, so no pressure from a buying club will force Chelsea to drop their asking price. This is why Chelsea increasingly look like a trading club, focused on player amortisation, resale value, and market control, rather than immediate success. A serious project doesn’t wait five years to compete. It builds and wins at the same time. Look at Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona, young talent mixed with experience. Chelsea’s reluctance to sign experienced players with low resale value, often justified by wage structure, shows that sustainability is being prioritised over competitiveness. As fans, we may need to accept this reality. The Roman Abramovich era brought trophies, this one is about long-term financial control.
