The transgender attorney who was tackled to the ground after getting into an argument with an Oklahoma judge has closed down their LGBTQ law firm. Rob Hopkins says Hopkins Law and Associates is closed down following the incident. "At this time, it is the right move for me to step away..." The @iocmedia is the most influential governing body in sports. Today is a good day. I'm hoping we see their influence drive some common sense across governing bodies. But here are the facts: The NCAA says they are protecting the women's category but they don't test for sex and they allow birth certificates as "proof of sex." Birth certificates can be changed in 44 states. The NWSL doesn't test or even require that a player be female. The NWSL doesn't even test for drugs! 23 states still allow boys to play in girls' sports. In my state of Colorado, in one county (Jefferson County), the Dept of Ed just found that 61 boys have stolen roster spots from girls. That doesn't even include private club sports. Should I go on? The Boston Marathon allows men to run in the women's category. And non-binary. And men's. Men can basically run and win in every category. AB Hernandez, a male athlete at Jurupa Valley High School, won the girls' triple jump and placed 2nd in the long jump at the California Winter Championships in early February 2026. He is ranked nationally in these events -- in girls'. He's a senior and will be headed to college with a national ranking in women's track and field. You have no idea how many female athletes I talk to every day. Famous ones. Olympians. Medalists. They agree women's sports must be protected. But they are too afraid to say it out loud. Afraid they'll lose endorsements. If we were done, all of them would have said something today -- Thank you IOC! But they are still silent. They are still afraid. Because they would still lose endorsements EVEN THOUGH the IOC, the most influential sport governing body, has said -- no men in women's sports. We aren't done.
