The 25th was NOT intended as a bypass impeachment, or as a political tool, or even as an emergency escape hatch to rid ourselves of a monster. It would ultimately require a 2/3 vote from BOTH Houses of Congress to override Trump's letter reinstating himself. It won't work. 3/3

People calling for using the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office have not read the 25th Amendment. Even if you can get his Cabinet to do it, Trump can reinstate himself IMMEDIATELY by writing a letter. Then it gets complicated, and no easier than impeaching him would be.
