Two of my closest friends: @JoeConnollybiz and @TimScheld. Tim, along with market manager Chris Oliviero, hired me as a baby face young man fresh out of college. Tim then paired me with Joe within my first month at the station. Joe and I were and are inseparable. Covering business news and learning from New York’s most respected business storyteller was an education in it of itself. Under Tim’s leadership, I grew as a journalist and a person.

After six years, I am leaving @WCBS880. I’m excited for the next step in my broadcasting career, which I will share in the coming days. First, I wanted to share a reflection on my time at WCBS.

Pablo Guzmán packed 150 years worth of life into 73. His reporting pulsed with a vitality earned on the streets of El Barrio. He covered historic events, and with the Young Lords he authored a unique chapter of NYC’s own history. Pablo was the real deal. Rest in peace.
