We just shipped V8 of @gyroscope_app! Now optimized with new protocols and trackers to ensure members lose bodyfat but keep muscle mass, especially important when on GLP1 meds. One more thing: now you can use it for free.

i used to write flight software - you know, the one that flies jets and spacecrafts.. and if I had claude/codex back in the day, i wouldnt even need to look at code. hear me out, people say AI slop this, AI slop that, and the code it generated is trash etc etc. the thing is, with a highly tightened coding standard, and a requirement traceability down to say ~30-50 lines of code per requirement, you almost no longer need to look at the code it produced before doing testing. 2022 - oh wow, AI can write some code in the chat app 2023-2024 - cursor is amazing - it can write some code and understands the context 2025- the code is getting better and better, but often with mistakes 2026 - given the right guideline and specs, it is an EXPECTATION that the code should work the first or second round. I foresee in the near future, we would have IDE that no longer prioritizes displaying code. instead the IDE would be a tool to orchestrate agents, with responses gathering and display, so like an agent command center. I already see people building some of this but i think people are thinking about it wrong - don't take IDE or terminal as a baseline, we need to completely revamp it. This excites me because for once, we are going to revolutionize how coding is done. wait.. its not coding anymore, its more general than that, but you get the point! the subagent framework today is largely inadequate - we need a layer of LLMs on top of analyzing agents and then allow humans to control. but not all subagents should report back to the same upper LLM. whos building this? I will invest.

I've talked to a lot of people working in AI with agents, Claude Code, etc One thing I keep hearing that nobody has written about is that many builders have stopped going to the gym The reason is always the same: the perceived opportunity cost of stepping away from their projects feels too high I've noticed it in myself too It's hard to break away when we're all building such cool stuff But I'm typing this from the gym right now And I'll tell you that it feels great You should go exercise if you haven't lately You'll have better energy and better focus Less prompting and more lifting!!

I have found a good filtering question for candidates to detect AI-generated applications You have to enter this as a custom question on your applicant tracking system for them to answer and make it mandatory to submit: "What are some of your favorite models today, and why? For example, you might say- I like Haiku 4.5 because xxx" This works because most of the LLMs doing the job spam don't have recent context of the latest models as you can see in this application that I just received in the screenshot Nobody is still using Opus 3 or Sonnet 3.7 and a few of the applicants are taking my bait and telling why they love Haiku for coding Now you can quickly filter candidates that didn't actually read your job description!

Next vibe code project is going to be an integrated fitness dashboard. Sync data from Oura, Strava, FitBod, InBody results, Function blood test results, manual weight tracking in notes, etc. all in one place. I am going to design it to pull the data directly from the sources (e.g. via API or downloading CSVs from each app's webpage) so I don't have to be in the loop. I am going to try to build in automated prompting to an LLM based on weekly data in/out to get recommendations on whats working well, what is not, highest leverage changes, etc. Will report back as I build... Anyone else got experience with anything like this?
Shanu Mathew@ShanuMathew93

My wife and I are moving to London 🇬🇧 in a few weeks. We had everything scattered across Notion databases, Google Calendar, random notes, apartment links... so I built a custom dashboard to bring it all together. What it does: → Tasks organized by category (visa, banking, housing, pet transport, etc.) → Apartment tracker with pros/cons, scores, and pins on a map → Recommendations for restaurants, gyms, neighborhoods we want to try (with filters on distance from our AirBNB and my work office) → Calendar events synced from Google → Email reminders so nothing slips through the cracks The part I'm most pumped about: two-way Notion sync. We've been using Notion to plan this move for months. I didn't want to abandon that. The dashboard pulls from our Notion databases, but also pushes changes back. >Edit a task in Notion → it updates in the app. >Mark something complete in the app → it syncs to Notion. We use whichever one feels right in the moment. I'm not a developer by trade. Built this in about a week using Claude Code - basically pair programming with AI. It wrote most of the code while I described what I wanted and made decisions along the way. Stack for the curious: Next.js, TypeScript, Prisma, Neon Postgres, Notion API, Mapbox, deployed on Vercel so we can open it on our phones, wifi, etc. Honestly, one of the the coolest and most useful things I've ever built. We use it all the time now!

I feel half of my life is logging in to things these days. Login to Sentry. Login to Google to login to Sentry. Login to 1Password to login to Google. Use Passkey to login to Google. Accept for Google to login to Sentry... Where the hell did we go so wrong on this? How about I login to my computer and then I'm logged into every other god damn app and website?

well we tried it in a kind of loud apple store and from english to spanish and spanish to english 1 it was quite slow so ur sitting there waiting for it to come up for quite a while -- so I think if u know a little bit of the language ur better off just listening in realtime and trying to power thru it urself, maybe only good if u really know no words -- or telling the person no u dont speak the language and to try english lol 2 wasn’t quite right either once it did come in (which is probably just a general language issue or artifact if ur translating each word instead of fully understanding whats going on)

I just got a new AC installed by Mitsubishi Electric I was wondering why it was so weak and tried to find the Powerful (or Turbo?) button like any AC has On the images on the internet the Powerful button is shown below the Econo Cool button Weirdly, on my remote the button seems to have been removed, showing an empty space Of course you can see where this is going 🤡 Yes you're right! The European Union has banned Turbo modes on AC units now because it's not 🍃 Eco friendly

So I wondering why my new LG TV was so insanely dark? It's because the EU mandates TV's to lock the brightness to 30-50% of their potential for sustainability reasons aka 🍃 Eco Mode I literally could NOT change the brightness until I dug deep into advanced settings to disable 🍃 Eco Mode It's all so fucking dumb 🤦

So I heard there are these phone apps where you take a picture of food and it tells you how many calories it is. I tried downloading 3 of these today. They are all clones of each other, and are all just trying to farm you for monthly subscriptions. They start up and put you into this very Longhousey "make your account, how old are you, how much do you weigh, what is your weight goal, give us your email and we will make sure it's right before you are allowed to continue, let us hold you by the hand and help take you to this weight goal via this paradigm that never works, but don't worry, we will help couch you in your shame; there is a monthly subscription but don't worry we won't charge you this for 3 days or something". Bro I just want to take photos of food and see how many calories it is. I uninstalled all 3 of these before getting to the part where I could take photos of food. Phone software is a complete disaster.
