If a monkey hoarded more bananas than it could eat, while most of the other monkeys starved, scientists would study that monkey to figure out what was wrong with it. When humans do it, we put them on the cover of Forbes.

Dear @navimumairport what the f*ck is wrong with you. Last time when I took a flight to Navi F*cking Mumbai airport, it took me more than an hour to get the luggage and there were no Uber: this time I decided to get my own car, but the signage is so incorrect. It says all Pick Ups downstairs at multiple places. But it’s NOT ALL PICKUPs. Private Pickups are at the same level. But you mor*ns have chosen not to mention that anywhere. PRIVATE PICKUP is at the same level inside a gas chamber. Somehow no direction tells you that. It took me an hour to get car. Please m*rons, fix up your sh*t. You guys are complete id*ots. I can’t see why I should take another flight to this airport, I would rather suffer the travel from Santa Cruz to Navi Mumbai than take NMIA ever again, may you guys rot in hell #NMIA #NaviMumbaiInternationalAirport @AdaniOnline @zoru75 @bhaumikgowande @RoadsOfMumbai @CratersOfMumbai

This is evidence of two things. How cruel and psychotic Trump government immigration policies are. And equally as important, how absolute fucking radioactive shit India is as a country and society. That people are willing to let their parents die alone rather than risk losing their visas and having to return to VishwaGutter for good.
Sam Peak@SpeakSamuel

This H-1B worker has lived in the US for nearly 20 years and built a family here. His mom was dying in India. To visit her, he would need to wait months to book a consular appointment--with the soonest one available likely being scheduled one year out. He made the difficult choice of not visiting his dying mom because leaving without an appointment would mean separation from his children, job, and his other obligations. Much of the commentary around immigration focuses on how such bureaucratic burdens undermine immigrants’ ability to contribute and innovate. But we must remember that this red tape also prevents these people from being fully engaged with their own lives and meaningfully present in the lives of others. This matters too, and these seemingly non-economic problems will eventually translate into economic costs. If America is no longer a place where people feel empowered to be the best versions of themselves as they celebrate, struggle, and grieve, it ceases not just being the land of opportunity, but also the land of dignity and purpose. linkedin.com/posts/gautam-d…

I don’t think people are understanding this headline - this is genuinely one of the coolest things I’ve seen a movie do. They hired an ACTUAL artist to PAINT a meme in the style of the ai ones to poke fun at them. Would’ve been so easy to ai generate something for the movie but they held themselves to a higher standard which I really really respect.
Variety@Variety

“The Devil Wears Prada 2” hired a human artist, Alexis Franklin, to make an AI-generated meme featured in the film: "Absolutely no disrespect to Queen Meryl, but this is something I would’ve painted in my free time, so when they asked me to do this, it was nothing but fun.” variety.com/2026/film/news…

Yes. He’s the most famous entertainer in history. All of the entertainers you mentioned can sit courtside at a NBA game. Michael Jackson could not. @MagicJohnson told the story of how he invited MJ to a Lakers game and it created so much chaos, they had to stop the game. MJ had to leave because fans were leaving their seats to try to get to him. None of the people you mentioned have that level of fame where they can’t attend public events.

Is Michael Jackson really bigger than Eminem, Jay z, Lil Wayne, Taylor swift, Rihanna and Beyonce all put together?

The saga continues. After 2 months of cancellation, @makemytrip @makemytripcare refunds INR 9593 of INR 52276 I paid. All my hustle of trying to talk to a live agent at MMT goes for a toss after 30 min of trying. The voice AI agent of MMT seems to truly vibe coded since it/she/he cannot understand a word of what I am saying. It keeps on playing an automated message in response to my question. This is a flight that Etihad cancelled and they refund less than 20% of what I paid.

@makemytripcare - My Etihad flight for 1st mar got cancelled due to the war. Its been a month since I submitted the refund request (which ideally you should have refunded automatically). This is the message I keep on getting on the site with no solution from call center as well. What I am supposed to do?

Marche du Film is not a selection at Cannes. It’s a paid slot anyone can buy. Love Manjummel Boys and am sure Chidambaram has made a crackling next film - but Variety should be ashamed of spreading fake news and not even knowing the basics of a festival selection. You could buy space and even premiere a gutkha masala ad at Marche.

No one failed India like the Indian Judiciary did. No not, Modi, not Shah, Adani, Ambani, Gyanesh or Media. The reason why 80 lac voters couldn't exercise their franchise in the just concluded Bengal polls, who do you think allowed this to happen? The Supreme Court is taking the nation to HELLHOLE. The World Cup starts in 30 days and legit barely anyone cares. In America, probably barely anyone knows the world’s biggest sport competition starts in a month. This has been the worst rollout for the World Cup I have ever seen in my life. It was a mistake to award it to Modern America. It’s no longer a serious society.

Shakira played a free show on Copacabana beach last night to a crowd of 2 million. Rio's city government paid $4 million to put it on. The city is expecting around $155 million in return. The whole thing is a tourism program called "Todo Mundo no Rio," which means "Everyone in Rio." Every year through 2028, the city books one massive pop star for a free show on Copacabana. The city built it to fill hotels in May. That month sits between Rio's two peak tourism windows, and bookings would otherwise dip. The first two years proved the model. Madonna's 2024 show pulled in 1.6 million people, and the local economy got about $60 million out of it. Lady Gaga came in 2025, drew 2.1 million, and brought in $109 million. Both weekends, the city's hotels were packed. Shakira is on track to top them both. Rio's economic office is projecting around $155 million in spending at hotels, restaurants, taxis, and shops, plus another $250 million worth of news coverage worldwide that the city would otherwise have to buy through ads. About 310,000 of last night's crowd flew or drove in from outside Rio. Airline bookings to the city were up 80% the week of the show compared to the same week in 2024. Hotels were full. When the previous mayor was asked whether spending public money on a free Lady Gaga show was a good idea, he didn't dance around it. Yes, he said. He'd done the same for Madonna. The reason was simple: the shows fill the hotels and the restaurants, and the tax money rolls in. 2 million people is about the population of Paris. They were all standing on a 4-kilometer (2.5-mile) stretch of beach. The setup ran 16 video and audio towers down the coast so the back rows could still see and hear. The city is generating roughly $40 of economic activity for every $1 of public money it puts in. They're doing it again in 2027.
