@abson_powanga @diamondtvzambia South Africa will not allow ECL to be buried in SA. The Appeals Court will simply confirm ,with observations, the High Court ruling. Watch this space.

@DhereckM94672 @Munalula91 @diamondtvzambia There is nothing in the laws that guides how a former head of state, not entitled to state benefits should be buried. ECL died more of a private citizen than a former president. And that way he should be buried. A state funeral is an offer that can be rejected.

@FMwenge There are some areas that 'cant' be improved due to initial bad planning(or no planning). The way out would be to 'raze' these settlements and start afresh/relocate but how much would that cost? Get dropped in any of these areas & look for a house number, you will see what it is

DICTATOR HICHILEMA: A MAN WHO HAS ACHIEVED MORE IMINGALATO THAN DEVELOPMENT The truth is now plain: Dictator Hakainde Hichilema has not toiled to develop Zambia, he has laboured only to cling to power. Like lice burrowing into a human scalp, he has mastered every instrument of incumbency to make himself difficult to remove, despite hs growing unpopularity. Lice have claws specially evolved to grip hair and flesh with deadly stubbornness; no casual scratching will shift them. Getting rid of them demands deliberate, painful work. Yet it must be done if the body is to breathe freely again. The same is true of this regime. Look at the much-trumpeted Constituency Development Fund (CDF). Yes, the figure was hiked from K1.6 million to K40 million per constituency. But the fund has spectacularly failed to produce real, significant development. Independent audits and on-the-ground evidence expose chronic under-spending, endless bureaucratic delays, and in far too many places, naked corruption. The money is “spent,” yet the roads are still cratered with potholes, boreholes are drying up, and the promised markets remain unbuilt. What we have is not progress, it is patronage wearing the mask of progress. Wander the country and you will see that the few major infrastructure projects still standing were inherited from the Patriotic Front (PF). Nothing new of substance has been added. The free education policy tells the same story. While the idea was welcome, its execution has collapsed under its own weight. Classrooms are dangerously overcrowded, teachers are overworked and scandalously underpaid, and learning materials in most rural schools are virtually non-existent. Children now troop to school not to learn, but to collect the free meal that has become the only reliable food many households can depend on in this crushing economy. Education has been reduced to a feeding scheme, with textbooks treated as an afterthought. Even the loudly celebrated “removal of cadres” was pure theatre. The violence now staining the 2026 nomination process proves it beyond doubt. UPND cadres and their allies have been caught red-handed in clashes at civic centres from Lusaka to Mazabuka and Mumbwa, intimidating rivals, snatching adoption certificates, and disrupting peaceful filings with mobs and selective arrests. The United Party for National Development (UPND) did not eliminate political thuggery; it simply replaced street-level goons with white-collar enforcers planted inside government institutions, parastatals and procurement offices. Violence has not vanished, it has been outsourced to more sophisticated operators who now specialise in abductions and other political crimes. The market may appear calmer, but fear has merely changed its uniform. Then there is the debt restructuring the regime parades as its greatest triumph. Yes, agreements were reached covering over 90 percent of external debt, rescheduling payments and temporarily cutting the annual servicing bill from around $2.6 billion to roughly $900 million. But ordinary Zambians gained nothing. There was no genuine debt cancellation, only extended maturities and grace periods that left the nominal debt stock almost untouched. In the five years since Dictator Hichilema took office, Zambia’s total public debt has still ballooned. Domestic debt has exploded from around K178 billion to over K250 billion, while foreign debt has risen sharply. The IMF-prescribed austerity that came with the deal, subsidy removals, tax increases and tight monetary policy, has only made life more unbearable for millions of Zambians. New loans were taken under the banner of “project financing,” yet the cash has produced neither jobs, reliable electricity nor lowered the cost of living for the people. Worse still, in the last five years Dictator Hichilema has busily crafted laws whose real purpose is not to serve Zambians but to shield his hold on power.

@amothersmuse @Space2013M The man could be insufferable for one reason or the other depending on where he stand but his ideas and dreams of a CLEAN CITY certainly are not. And am happy to report SMLtv is back in the ring! I hope he is the one LUSAKA will have as MAYOR.

@Space2013M @ThinkTa54628295 How have you come to that conclusion that the majority want to vote for CM? Remember the man has also been running battles with vendors, bus drivers, and women at large a point that team Ketty have raised and to an extent valid. SM popularity should not be confused for votes.

@CeeMulengah @Space2013M Now it's up to the voters to put their money where their mouth is. Worry is that when elected what powers does a Mayor have over the Council especially the TC. It's not an EXEC post so he will need the backing of Top Party leadership to have 'HIS' programmes accepted by COUNCIL.

@CeeMulengah @Space2013M Anyway he finally filed in under UPND. Bt the rot in the Party that led 2 this is still alive & strong. Party still needs root out cause of this from top to bottom. My worry is this has created cracks in the Party which if not sorted out will create challenges for 2031.

@_HerMajestee “Mom, it was for working adults.” I said nothing. See, THIS is the problem right here. She said nothing. She should have spoke up right then and called him out. Had a conversation like adults and then moved on from there like adults. Instead she played games like a child.

My son removed me from the family group chat because, as he put it, “Mom, it was for working adults.” I said nothing. I went back to feeding the chickens, checking the fence line, and writing in the little farm notebook they all used to laugh at. One week later, twelve of them arrived with suitcases, meat, coolers, and weekend plans, certain I would leave the key under the flowerpot again. But this time, the gate was locked…

@ke_le_brimbor @ngomabest196 Having been a PF member doesnt mean your career is doomed. There were good people in PF & some will make good leaders/Ministers,eg Sunday Chanda who wouldn't want the hard working guy on his side? I think with this election UPND is consolidating it's hold on power nationally....

If Dictator Hakainde Hichilema were truly sincere and had genuinely turned away from his pattern of lies and misleading statements, he would have announced the immediate dismissal of Haloba without delay or theatrics. This clear photograph, showing Haloba embedded within the President’s security detail, tells the real story: Haloba remains protected, connected, and very much part of the system. This fits the classic Dictator Hichilema playbook, loud public condemnation for the cameras, followed by silence and business as usual for his inner circle. The man circled in red is living proof that the so-called “zero tolerance” policy is little more than empty rhetoric from a leader who only pretends to repent when it suits him.
