This is not the case in Minecraft since the sun is directly overhead and there is a point where shaders cast no shadows.

@traparlifter @Da1AndOnlyAndro @jayrat_ The sun wouldn't be tilted because it's on aligned along a perfect perpendicular 90° angle to the Minecraft world. Unlike Earth, there's no rotation misalignment that would cause a square sun to appear rotated.

@torolicker @Da1AndOnlyAndro @jayrat_ The earth rotating on a tilted axis doesn't change the shape of the sun being a sphere. The Minecraft world clearly has the sun dead-centre in the sky, so it's not at an axial tilt relative to the player, so it shouldn't be rotated.
