The Hope Valley is often blessed with the most spectacular temperature inversions. The mist hangs in the hollows, gathering and receding, dancing around the footings of the farms, with clear skies above. Part of their beauty is in their transience, like a little reward for those who ventured out early. All too soon the sun warms the valleys and the moment is gone, like a magician pulling aside a veil to reveal the view.
