Lots of numbnuts replying - in short - Mamdani proposed a 2% tax on earnings over $1m - that's not going to only hit billionaires - a 9.5% property tax increase which will hit all new yorkers who pay rent or own. - Income tax was supposed to be just for the top 1%. Now 50% of the country pays income tax.

@Austin_Federa @biz_socks Of course rich people are the highest taxed (in absolute numbers) but they still don't pay enough. Once you reach a certain level of wealth (which isn't even that high) almost 100% of what you have is disposable income. Compared to 0% among the poor.
