There's a reason the Pin-Up/XS bars have lost so many customers and garnered so many 1-star reviews: Their security thugs. Here's the XS crew in action - 6 on 1 - because a *Thai* customer had the audacity to question why staff threw away the belongings he left while partying there for 3 hours.
The story translated from Thai:
The person who got jumped is my friend.
Here’s what happened: my friend had gone into a go-go bar and sat there for about 2–3 hours. After that we left and went to eat. When we finished eating, we walked back to XS A-Go-Go because my friend was upset about something.
The issue was that the staff had thrown away his belongings. Normally in every club or bar, if a customer leaves something with the security guard or the person at the entrance, they don’t have the right to throw a customer’s things away.
My friend only asked to go look for his things for just one minute.
I understand that the club had already closed at that point. I told the security guard that my friend was drunk. But did it really have to escalate like that over just one minute?
Some customers hadn’t even left yet.
I told them to calm down. I understand that they were doing their job, but they should calm down a little too.

The biggest clubs in pattaya are the Indian ones and they are the only ones expanding, while many other thai + foreign owned have closed down.

During my visits to Thailand and Vietnam, I did face racism, and It felt bizarre and unruly, felt alien too. The more I faced it the more I thought to myself why do they become hostile towards us.
And then I noticed this breed of dehatis, these uncles who travel in hoards without their wives only to do exactlly this, stare at women pass comments and even act so weird like we’re on another planet.
