Atlanta Braves outfielder Jurickson Profar will miss the entire 2026 season after his appeal of a positive PED test was resolved. He will serve a 162-game suspension for testing positive a second time and will be ineligible for postseason play.

@MatthewCappucci Maybe it’s just me, but the term “off-ramp” doesn’t really convey the meaning of “what could result in the system underperforming”.

What a HORRIBLE forecast by meteorologists – especially myself.
Not only were we spectacularly wrong – we communicated poorly.
It became apparent last night that some of our initial expectations would prove fallacious.

Triumph turns to near disaster 60 years ago this morning
At 11:41 am March 16, 1966, rookie astronauts Neil Armstrong and David Scott launched aboard Gemini VIII. Within 6 hours, they had accomplished the first ever docking of two spacecraft in orbit. It was a milestone that the Apollo program depended on. Without proving that two vehicles could safely link up in space, there would be no Moon landing.
But 27 minutes after docking, their spacecraft began to spin uncontrollably. Armstrong and Scott found themselves in danger of losing consciousness as they spun at around 1 revolution per second. Armstrong, cool-headed under extreme duress, was able to disable the misfiring thruster and stabilize the spacecraft, saving their lives.

When you say UGA is a public ivy due to kids getting straight A’s in rural Georgia public schools, a huge number of “I love the SEC and football” applicants, a substandard engineering school, and a business school with zero technology focus and job reliance on a frat bro network

@JohnHolbein1 A lot of yall need to realize that these bars are binned, meaning they include +/- 0.5 yds. This means that the refs aren’t necessarily placing the ball on the exact yard lines out of laziness.
Also, penalties are more likely to result in a first down, so…
