you’d think text editors would be easy but i still have not found a good one. vscode has too much input latency, zed takes up to a minute to open files after clicking on them after switching branches, helix/vim have to be roundtripped over ssh for each keystroke

@allTheYud They also have literally zero Two-factor authentication. Your phone number gets buried and it can't even be seen let alone changed. Maybe they don't have the attention maybe they just don't care

Trying to run Claude Code on a Github Workspace, because apparently Claude Code for Web can't access most webpages. I can't log in, because the Claude page that would authorize the Claude Code instance to use my account, automatically redirects to a localhost URL that of course will not actually reach my remote Github Workspace. Extracting the 'code' from the URL and trying to paste it directly into the thing that wants a code, did not work. Setting the workspace's port forwarding to public, and pasting the workspace URL into the address bar to replace 'localhost', did not work. Alas, it would be a fallacy to draw conclusions about how far Anthropic is getting with having Claude build Claude. They presumably just have nobody left to oversee customer UX, as opposed to working on recursive self-improvement. Previous poking around with Claude Code has very much confirmed that this is the sort of bug that Opus 4.6 can fix in a few minutes. There's an open issue for it and a suggested fix. I would literally guess that they are too busy trying to end the world to fix it.
