What the red team won’t admit, is that even if “unwise,” everyone voting blue is the only way to guarantee that the chance of a deadly outcome is reduced to 0%. They won’t admit this—can’t, in fact—because they either: a) Believe other people are selfish and cowards and would select red for themselves. b) They themselves are selfish and cowardly. c) Are both selfish and cowardly and believe most people are too. They CORRECTLY point out that the red button eliminates any risk, and is the smart answer, but in this they are lost. Their genius intellect that enables them to reach this conclusion, for some reason, prevents them from realizing that in ANY binary contest (let alone one run over 8billion instances) there will be a spread of BOTH choices, regardless of which one is “more logical.” There will be millions, who select blue. Here, the red team is prepared to let these people simply die. Their reason? “I am not obligated to risk my life for retards.” It is only a risk if A, B, or C is true above. Yet the blue team keeps winning…So there we have it: Selfish *and* cowardly. No one has to die.

@TheCartoonLoon So you gave him a .000000025% more of MAYBE livivng if he DID pick it, while putting your life at risk rather then take the 100% chance to just survive and him not be an orphan on the premise that someone MIGHT take care of the kid if you died....

For anyone still confused; If everyone pushes the red button, everyone survives. Done. If anyone pushes the blue button, they're committing suicide unless they can convince at least half of everyone else to also risk suicide in order for none of them to have to actually do it, but they want to, and now get to, brag they were willing to kill themselves & convince a multitude of others to as well, even though there was a perfectly logical, non-suicidal option the entire time that wouldn't have risked any of the population.

@LeahLibresco Don't know if I know anyone who had the energy for it after the wedding.

Everyone who's picking red thinks blue is the suicide button. And everyone who picks blue thinks red is the murder button That's the only conclusion I'm getting from this
