A black guy tossed his stuff into the trunk of an Uber.
When the trunk slammed, the Uber thought it was the back door shutting and pulled off.
After maybe ten seconds, he realized his mistake and turned around in the parking lot to retrieve the passenger.
The low-impulse passenger tried to resolve the situation with violence and learned a very harsh lesson.

An estimated 400 teens are running amok downtown on State St. and Michigan Ave.
It's an absolute mess.
CPD contact tells us some teens have mace and tasers. Teens were tasing people.
One teen has been hospitalized.

Dyshan Best, 39, was shot in the back last year while fleeing from officers in Bridgeport, Connecticut
A state inspector general report found the shooting was justified because Best had a gun and the officer feared for their safety
The first ambulance arrived 14 minutes after the shooting but was used to take officer Erin Perrotta to the hospital
Paramedics said Perrotta was “visibly hysterical (crying and breathing rapidly) and had blood all over her uniform.”
They also said she declined treatment in the ambulance sayinh, “I am fine, I just needed to get out of here.”
A second ambulance arrived at 6.12 p.m., and Best was taken to the hospital at 6.22 p.m. He died at 7.41 p.m. from injuries to his liver and right kidney

Chicago media is getting justifiably pummeled for its handling of the execution of Loyola Univ freshman Sheridan Gorman by an illegal Venezuelan.
The Sun-Times "she had it coming" headline prompted nationwide condemnation for victim-blaming.
And today is the FIRST day the that Gorman's murder, which happened on March 19, made the front page of the Chicago Tribune. And one can only assume the Trib finally gave the heinous crime the attention it deserves after much public backlash over the past several days.

A young woman is dead. Her family is grieving. This city is demanding answers. Today I asked the Mayor a simple question:
After saying Chicago is safe, will you apologize to Sheridan Gorman's family? He refused — and got angry that it was even asked.
Then his staff tried to shut me down.
This isn’t the first time I’ve asked him about other violent crimes involving illegal aliens. Same response: no answers. Dismissive. Tone deaf.
Mayor Johnson has still yet to issue a statement on Sheridan's death. Governor Pritzker didn’t issue one either — until he was forced to.
Meanwhile, Johnson has spentmillions of Chicago taxpayer dollars on illegal aliens in Chicago — but when tragedy hits home, the silence is deafening.
No apology.
No answers.
No accountability.
Chicago is outraged — and demanding better.
