I haven't even seen Wonder Man yet but I already know he's going to be filed under the mutant label. Because he is one. Every superhuman is a mutant. The comics use the "mutate" term but...I doubt the MCU will. Because they're just going to differentiate mutations... ...whether they be X-Gene mutations, Gamma mutations, Spider mutations, Dark Energy Tesseract mutations, Terrigen mutations, etc. A mutant is a mutant at the end of the day...especially in the eyes of the MCU public growing in superhuman xenophobia. They're gonna see mfs like Spider-Man or the Human Torch flying around and say "That's a mutant!"...even though their mutations aren't X-Gene mutations. And they wouldn't be wrong...they're just not being specific. It's like calling a Vietnamese guy an "Asian." You're not wrong. But you're also not being specific. When X-Gene mutants start making the news and scaring people, every superhuman is going to be labeled a mutant to differentiate them from regular humans. "Us vs Them" type shit. Whether or not the mutant Wonder Man is an X-Gene mutant has yet to be seen.

@girldrawsghosts when I first heard they were bringing him back again I thought "isn't he kinda played out? how are they gonna shoehorn this" and then I saw it and Wonder Man is the best thing Marvel's done in years

@rinoadoll this is a respectful ranking I have a soft spot in my heart for XV because I played it in a narrow window of 2020 where going on a road trip with the bros would absolutely hit, unreproducible results
