@JG232_ All of Hayes-Brown, Balta, Gray, Lefau are surely ahead of Ryan as options for Richmond to choose to be number 1 ruck this week. Ryan being available doesn’t mean he’s AFL fit or ready. Will play two weeks in the vfl minimum imo

@AFLSC360 Yeah just going for average there. From a SC classic ownership perspective Trac could miss their next 7 matches and still be a trade in for round 13 or 14 after their bye as he could be on for a 110 average post bye still

@JackCJohnston I feel like we were having this conversation about Buku last year. Then his form dipped and he was out of the side. Perhaps it didn’t get this much attention as we weren’t winning. Most XYZ player after some teams have only played twice is such a snorefest, regardless.

I'm loving what Buku Khamis has been doing and I am very happy for him that he's getting his flowers. But is he really "the most improved player in the comp"? This feels like a classic case of "team starts winning so player who has always done A is credited as finally doing A".

@Secko_IFS I thought all the podcasts and conversations and data out there were making the general population catch up to my level in this game, but people are still buying Bont at 700k mid season before he has two byes and buying Xerri at 670k mid season. Mistakes really

@SC___Scout I do agree with your overall premise that the number of injury/sideways trades could be too few for the way many coaches go if the rate of injuries to highly owned players keeps up

@pritchfork I wonder how most teams struggled to get a proper full 23 last year then 😂 The injuries are already worse this year too. We’re toast.

If you’re aiming for 23 keepers by the end of the season, you usually only get 6 -7 trades for injuries and sideways moves. Plenty of teams will have used 3 already now on: ❌ Christian Petracca ❌ Errol Gulden ❌ Connor Rozee #AFL #SuperCoach

@SC___Scout Starting team +5 restructure/sideways corrections should get you 12 premiums and the best cash gen guys. Buy 11 more premiums to get to 23, funded by 14 downgrades. Leaves 10 injury trades for 23 rounds of trading

@pritchfork There is no way you’re getting anywhere near 23 top end keepers if 15/40 trades are used on sideways and injuries. I wish 😂

@mcdonellaussie @RFC_Centre That’s right, I do recall those Trainor comments. Maybe it wasn’t him who was looking good. That’s probably more based on type of injury and how developed the player is

@pritchfork @RFC_Centre I am finding it interesting that some players get to play VFL to get match fitness whereas some players (last year) did mini preseasons to get fit to play AFL. Can only presume not wanting contact for the later players? (Too fragile?)

@mcdonellaussie @RFC_Centre Hopper, but happy to leave Trainor out if Hopper is replaced by someone else. It was a week or two ago Trainor apparently played very well in vfl praccy but didn’t seem to follow it up on the weekend with another elite game. Prestia can cover Hopper’s absence now he’s had a run

@FootyIsMyJam @DemonsFanCams I swear Langford and Lalor are nearly the same player. Not sure why Langford isn’t 50% inside mid, 30% full fwd and 20% bench. Getting 3-4 centre clearances and 1-2 goals a game. Does look off this year though so not even putting pressure on for more mid time

@DemonsFanCams Lindsay to half back is the Windsor to half back of 2026. He’s a wingman. But he and Langford have a touch of 2nd year blues about them, Harvey slow as a truck so far this year. I’d almost play him i50 at this rate cos defensively his opponent is stacking it up.

I don’t understand Lindsay’s role. Didn’t we draft Xavier Taylor in that exact position??? #AFLFreoDees
