@forzakate @marnievinall Saying he could beat the girls in a boxing match (for charity btw and not the only people he said he could beat up) is not the same as saying he supports hurting/or violence towards women. He probably shouldn’t have said it because was always going to be taken it the wrong way.

@daanysaeed That isn’t information I was aware of, so it’s fair to say that until Hardwick said so, the journalist didn’t know the oversight structure? Still feel a line was crossed once It was pretty quickly clear questions couldn’t be answered by Dimma, and the journalist kept pushing.

@bphreshly In fairness Opie followed Hardwick to Gold Coast and it’s a match day role. Depending on the club, coaches have various levels of oversight in this respect. Reasonable to pass it along but pushing on it is absolutely warranted - it’s a fairly significant concurrent employment

@SwoopLuke @TonyShaw22 Yep. I’d imagine that’ll be exactly how it will look. Maybe a touch duller. Legit just what’s on the logo. Although lighting effects on print vs digital likely results in the mock up you’ve got there even if they use gold from the logo.

In light of the whiteboard saga - something that gets completely overlooked is the sliding doors moment where the Hawthorn Football Club were ready to pay Ben McKay $1M+ a year and he says no, choosing the Essendon Football Club instead. So Hawthorn are forced to pivot. We bring in Tom Barrass and Josh Battle and suddenly the entire spine and identity of the team completely changes. I honestly don’t think we’d be anywhere near the same premiership window over the next few years if McKay says yes. ✅ One decision, a completely different future. I weight that decision even higher than the Zach Merrett deal falling through #AFL #Hawthorn
