Looking at the stats from the last Essendon VFL game & now it’s even more confusing. Tsatas had game-high 35 touches & 3 tackles. He also kicked a goal among 6 score involvements. Guelfi had zero tackles, less contested ball, lower DE% & no score. How about some transparency around what Tsatas needs to do to get his spot back, because Guelfi getting a game before him is baffling

@BradKlibansky It’s easy to look at this in hindsight and say it was an insane call but the prevailing belief in 2016 was that you had to push all your 30+ year olds out the door in order to rebuild. Experience wasn’t valued the way it is now.

😳 Why was Boomer Harvey told his time was up at North Melbourne? What a terrible decision. For comparison on the ⬇️ Dylan Moore made the 2024 All-Australian team after averaging 19.5 disposals, 1.4 goals, 4.1 inside 50’s and 5 marks a game.

Richmond defender Mutaz El Nour has courted interest from West Coast ahead of next Tuesday’s Mid-Season Draft.
He’ll nominate later this week, while Sam Toner has nominated after both Tigers VFL boys were absent from the initial list.

Despite Richmond's current injury list, getting games into young players relatively early in their rebuild might turn out to be a positive.
Critical development period.
Helps shape and filter the list quicker.
Some of these players will turn out to be best 23 because of the current opportunities.
Fair amount of talent currently sidelined, clearly the future is bright despite their current predicament.

@OnThePineX Roberts-Thomson is basically the worst player in Richmond vfl. We’d grab a mid season draftee and play them before we play NRT. I think Burton is very good irl and would be in our best 23 even when everyone is fit if I was selecting the team

Does this concern anyone bringing Burton in? Roberts-Thomson, who’s listed in the emergencies, is a medium mid/forward (similar role to Burton). Maybe his job security isn’t as safe as we think?

It’s so early but I think Willem has flashed the highest upside. For a game today I’m taking Murphy Reid, for their career I think I’d go Duursma, Lalor, Reid in that order…
FOS, Levi, Jagga, Shanahan - the 2024 crop will be incredible to look back on

@SC___Scout I traded in him last week and watched Port last week and he threw away a 150 with some poor kicks then too! I missed this game but stats even better this time around and he dominated in second half when game was still on the line so but surprised he didn’t go 120+

Jason Horne Francis 34 touches, 17 contested, 12 clearances and 1 goal.
❌ Could’ve been an absolute monster but 7 clangers and just 30 points at half time.
None the less, was an excellent pick up last week for $479k and he will still be ripe for the picking at sub $500k next week!
