@runfaster2000 and trying to avoid to start begging for help or something. For example Xabaril/AspNetCore.Diagnostics.HealthChecks: Enterprise HealthChecks for ASP.NET Core Diagnostics Package did update the code. just no new version. Not really eager to fork everything

@runfaster2000 MongoDB decided to start using assembly signing; now looking for some docs but everything is about .net framework (and thus very old). Any idea about good docs for .net

@dddanielreis @lxztlr I am going to tag @runfaster2000 and see if he has any suggestions for a better starting place if CLR via C# ain't it. IMHO, a lot of it is probably still accurate (i.e. the type system) even though things like the JIT, GC, and Compiler Architecture have changed a lot

Learning systems programming, what the computer is actually doing when it executes your programs, is one of the greatest ways to improve as a software developer. Gradually learning the layers of componentry you depend upon work will demystify debugging, improve perf, and beyond

@shanselman @lakerfld We "syndicate" our README info to Docker Hub. That process is currently broken. It has been reported. Keep the reports coming. ty.

@shanselman @DonPwrShellHunt @code @lyrichardson01 All of our tags are multi-arch manifest-based, like `8.0`. However, the images underneath those tags are CPU-specific. We don't support QEMU for containers for x64 emulation on Arm64, but Rosetta may work.

During VS @code Day I was watching the presentation by @shanselman and @lyrichardson01 and asked in Chat if there was a DevContainer available for the C# Dev Kit that worked on both Intel & Apple Silicon. What's the scoop Scott? Seems like it would be handy.

@davidfowl @TheMillrind I listen to "boring stuff" from David anytime I can. You've inspired me in multiple ways. Thank you!

@TheMillrind My career thus far, lessons I learned. The usual boring stuff. The number of black engineers I've worked with directly, let alone the number of black women engineers is less than 5 (15 year career)

Today I spoke to a group of black women software engineers at Microsoft. It was the first time I had ever seen that many in a single meeting and it was inspiring!

@dotMorten @Lucas_Trz Ubuntu and Red Hat, for example, only ship .1xx SDK builds, because they don't want breaking changes. We maintain .1xx until major version EOL because of that.

@dotMorten @Lucas_Trz The SDK "feature bands" align with VS dot releases and may have breaking changes. That's why we created the funky versioning scheme. The diff between 200 and 201 is because there was some fix that had to go out immediately and there was no need to re-build the runtime.

Hi @shanselman. I maintain few .NET OSS projects which code sign the assemblies and nuget packages using Azure Key Vault. My certificate expired so I'm unable to publish nuget packages anymore.

@PauloMorgado No, but we've talked about. File an issue at dotnet/dotnet-docker to have that conversation?

Hey @runfaster2000, is there a container image with dotnet-dump, dotnet-trace, etc.?

@runfaster2000 @KathleenDollard Oh now I see what you mean. A generic always latest link would be great, but I'm not sure how you would handle the SHA in that case? Another URL to provide the SHA? HTTP Header (defeats part of the purpose?)

Can somebody please fix the .NET Runtime download pages to not include a CRLF at the end of the copied text? Been like that for a long time... @runfaster2000 @KathleenDollard

@RickStrahl @KathleenDollard It sounds like you are regularly downloading runtime links, due to servicing. I was asking if a link that always provided the latest servicing update would help.
