I’m running for the U.S. Senate because we can’t keep letting the same insiders, run the same failed playbook, while families keep falling further behind. It’s time to build a future worthy of America. 🇺🇸

@tferriss If you were a 90-95 percentile IQ person, who was entrepreneurial in spirit but never built anything, what would you work on to either have the biggest positive impact on society or become the most financially successful.

If you ended up sitting next to a Nobel Prize winner or billionaire, what would you ask them? If you only had 2 to 5 minutes and they were willing to talk, how could you make the most of it?

Colleges seem completely archaic in the AI world. What is a better model?

Instead of building schools you’d be better off to integrate with existing high schools and partner manufacturing companies to leverage already-existent resources. Recruit sophomores in HS, run paid summer training at employer facilities, supplement their school-year curriculum for HS credit. Upon graduation, guaranteed placement at a Cummins or Caterpillar. The real unlock is building a national brand. Students aren’t proudly saying they went to a trade school; but maybe if they’re telling friends they attended ‘Manufacturing University, Caterpillar Division’ that becomes cool. That’s how you win the recruiting battle and prove value to employers in the Hire, Train, Deploy (HTD) model. Start with diesel mechanics (85k open jobs, median wage beats a new college grad). Revenue via employer fees + Income Shared Agreements (ISA).

My hot take of the day is that a Lambda School for electricians, CNC machinists, and other advanced manufacturing roles would do very well for the next 20+ years. Maybe longer.

More of this. Other examples are NASA in Houston, CDC in Atlanta, and BLM in Grand Junction.

@davidu @PalmerLuckey The writer is a mental midget socialist, who tries to pick fights for internet clout. Wrote a whole hit piece on Yglesias some time back with the same aim. Those that can’t do…

@PalmerLuckey It’s so crazy. They must know these are falsehoods and deceptions. It’s infuriating. The rot is so deep at these publications.

Doubt I’ve ever seen a story with more falsehoods and deceptive language in the first two ‘graphs in my life. What an absolute trash piece. We need more @PalmerLuckey’s and less liars like Nathan. Can’t believe an editor let this out. I care because people read it and believe it.

I realize the title of "worst billionaire in America" is highly competitive, but I wrote about why I think Silicon Valley "war king" @PalmerLuckey deserves the prize: currentaffairs.org/news/palmer-lu…

AI will destroy the internet. Slop will drive out human-created content on platform after platform. Instead of interacting with someone else's slop, people will just make their own slop with AI apps. There will be no online human-to-human interaction left. Note: This is good

This really is what it feels like to me now. ChatGPT is a majority participant in long post Twitter, commenting on the story of the day. The profiles are just the faces it wears.

Sorry for the delay on this, but I’m a football guy and I follow the 24-hour rule on dealing with losses. First, congratulations to @JulianaStratton on a decisive win. She’s been clear-eyed about one of the biggest challenges we face (housing affordability) and I’m encouraged to see that reflected in her support from @AbundantHomesIL. Second, thank you to my friends and family who stood with me in this campaign. It was an (overly) ambitious run from the start. Your support (especially from those who crossed party lines) against long odds meant everything. This campaign was unapologetically policy-heavy (maybe too wonky for its own good at times). But I’m proud of the agenda we put forward. It was exactly what I believe America needs: a realistic path to a more affordable, more functional country, built without deference to special interests and free of promises nobody intends to keep. America is the greatest country on earth. And I look forward to finding a different path to make sure it stays that way. 🇺🇸

Great point. We should really batch 5 states to have the first primaries together. New Hampshire, South Carolina, Iowa, Nevada and one other state, all on the same day. The Presidential nomination should not rest so heavily on one man’s endorsement.
Jonathan Martin@jmart

If you thought Jim Clyburn was gonna retire before a wide-open prez cycle w SC again in early window, w chance to pick the nominee, you didn't see him make every '20 contender put on his CLYBURN t-shirts at the 2019 Clyburn Fish Fry #itselectric
