Most of the country is too partisan to see straight. They’ll get revv’d up about whatever their team tells them to.
Pay attention to the people who can hold a consistent position when the political tribes switch.

It can be *less* convenient to charge faster. Five minutes is still too long to stand there and watch it charge, and if you leave then you have to come back and move the car.
For people who can’t charge at home or work (cheaply), most will stick with gasoline.

Unpopular opinion: This is a party trick and won’t be used much because the infrastructure to deliver 1.5 MW is expensive.
Having ubiquitous, reliable charging is a lot more important than cutting the charge time from 15 minutes to 5 minutes.

My dad's a trucker. Electric semis sound "farfetched" to him.
But in Long Beach, there's a waitlist of drivers wanting to switch to electric trucks.
Why? No fumes, no vibrations, quiet cab, one-pedal driving.
Once truckers actually drive these things, they get it.
